Chapter 206

Elias POV

After the longest pause ever, doctor Jones thankfully agrees to let me see her, but only me to Erin's and Leroy's dismay. They lead me through the double doors the doctor I thought was a nurse stopped me at earlier, as my heart pounds painfully in my chest. As soon as we get close I can sence which room she is in as my breath hitches. Doctor Mills pushes the door open for me to enter Chilli's room as two male nurses look so shocked to see me, I catch her nodding at them in the corner of my eye as they bow there heads before stepping slowly away from the bed and leaving the room. But my eyes and attention is transfixed to the beautiful woman laying soundlessly on it.

"Chilli," I whisper so softly under my breath, hesitantly reaching out to touch her skin and take her hand in mine. The warmth of her skin shocks me as her face is so pale, I thought she would feel cold to the touch, as my eyes well up as the heat from her hand fills me with the reassurance
