Hector's POV

We set up a time for Daunte's warriors to train with us at Crystal Blood Pack during our meeting. As soon as we finished eating, we returned home. In order to ensure Maliyla's well-being, I asked Jeanie to check on her. According to her, she was still asleep and had not gotten the laundry done as I had instructed. My desire to get rid of those clothes overshadowed my appreciation for her kindness.

"Please do as I ask, Jeanie," I told her through the mind-link.

"Certainly, Alpha," Jeanie replied, and I cut the mind link immediately.

Jonathan and I returned to Crystal Blood Pack by mid-afternoon. I immediately headed upstairs. As I entered the bedroom, I noticed Maliyla wasn't there. On my way out of the room, I ran into Leonard.

"Alpha Hector, I heard that the Onyx Fang Pack would arrive in the next two weeks?" he said.

  • The Rejected Alpha's Heart   Chapter 63

Hector's POVIn my attempt to comfort her, I sat beside her on the bed."Ah, Bellissima," I said, turning her around. Tears dripped down her beautiful face as she stared at me with her blue eyes filled with pain. "Perdonami amore mio, non volevo ferirti" I whispered as I pulled her into my arms. While Maliyla's tears soaked into my shirt, I kissed her forehead, my heart aching for her. "Ti Amo," I whispered."I apologize, but I don't want anyone to get her," Maliyla cried."I know, baby, but I can't let you go back," I told her, pulling her out of my embrace. Looking into her eyes, I held her face in both hands. "Sweetheart, you mean everything to me. There is nothing more important to me than you. If I tell you that I am different, you have to trust me and believe me. Guys always say that stuff, but haven't I proven my love and dedication to earn your trust

  • The Rejected Alpha's Heart   Chapter 61

Hector's POVAs I held her, I watched her sleep the entire night, refusing to close my eyes. Throughout the night, she tossed and turned in my arms. I could only imagine her pain and nightmares. I couldn't help but feel a mix of love, concern, and helplessness as I held her fragile form. With each restless movement, my heart ached, knowing that I couldn't shield her from the demons that haunted her even in her sleep."Moon Goddess, do something,"I thought to myself.I hadn't realized I had fallen asleep until Maliyla screamed in my ear. Startled awake by Maliyla's scream, my heart raced as I instinctively held her tighter, trying to provide a sense of security. As her cries continued, I whispered soothing words, gently stroking her hair, hoping to offer some comfort amidst the darkness of her nightmares. I cautiously got up and went to the bathroo

Maliyla's POV"Ahhhh!" I screamed, waking up in bed and realizing that I was dreaming. There was still a feeling of Erick's hands on my chest. My heart pounded in my chest as the remnants of the dream slowly faded away. I took a deep breath, trying to shake off the lingering unease, and reminded myself that it was just a dream. Yet, the sensation of Erick's touch lingered, leaving me confused."Bellissima, what is it?" Hector asked as he sat up and embraced me.Taking a deep breath, I said, "It's nothing. Just a bad dream."As Hector hugged me tighter, he said, "You're safe. I'm here." He pulled me back down to the bed, where I slipped into a deep sleep. It was the sound of curtains opening that woke me up. Sunlight flooded into the room, and I winced. I awoke to see Jeanie rushing around the room as she did the day I arrived at Cr

  • The Rejected Alpha's Heart   Chapter 59

Maliyla's POVI was roused from sleep by the sound of birds chirping. I awoke to find Hector still holding me in his arms, just as when we went to sleep. Looking at the alarm clock on the nightstand, I noticed that it was 5:00 AM. Looking up, I saw Hector still asleep. The sound of his heart beating accompanied me as I lay my head on his chest and closed my eyes. A smile spread across my face as I recalled the first time I woke up in his arms.Taking Hector's arm around my waist, I climbed out of bed and headed to the bathroom. In order to clear my mind, I quickly freshened up and put on my gym clothes. As I grabbed my bag by the door, I glanced at Hector one last time before leaving. There was a pressing need within me to get out and move. After walking downstairs and out the back door, I went directly to the forest on the other side of the pack-house. With my headphones synced up to my phone and turned up the

Maliyla's POVGisselle's loss left me feeling numb and empty, as if a black hole had swallowed me up. Her last words were that she would get water for the flight. Knowing there were drinks on the jet, I felt so stupid for letting her go alone. At the time, I never imagined she wouldn't return. I couldn't say goodbye to Evangeline, even though I knew it wasn't her fault. During the flight back home, I sat in the same seat that Gisselle had sat in on our way to Egypt and just stared out the window. As the plane took off, my heart sank. I lost my best friend, and I felt partly to blame.'If I had just returned to the Blood Rose Pack and given myself to Erick, this wouldn't have happened. If I had stayed, Gisselle would still be here.'I thought as I stared out the window.Immediately, Hathor's voice echoed through
