INICIAR SESIÓNAuthor's Narration (The Secret Council Meeting at Northmont High) The Grandmaster and the council members were seated according to their ranks in the inner chambers of his office-a long, hall-like room painted entirely white. It had the photos of the dark council members, both old and new, hung on the wall. The floor, despite being tiled, had a long red rug that was laid from the entrance to the high chair, which obviously belonged to the Grandmaster. Virtually all members of the school staff were also a part of the dark council. The tension in the room was way more than what the temperature measurement could calculate. The whole place was vibrating with tension. An unexpected incident happened weeks ago, and they're just getting to know about it. A long-forgotten bloodline has awakened. One that could jeopardise the hard work that the dark council had put together. And to worsen the situation, someone had awakened a SYSTEM. The same one they killed its host several years ag
Dahlia's Point of View I flinched. Was that voice referring to me? Slowly, I turned, but couldn't see anyone behind me. Maybe it was my imagination. I already had a bad feeling about going to the library in the first place, so I might as well be imagining things. "No, not that book. You certainly have a bad taste when it comes to choosing books." There came the voice again. I turned and gazed around but saw no one. So I decided to play along. If someone had hidden somewhere trying to get me in trouble by making me talk in the library, I might as well do the same. Detention will be beneficial for both of us. And on second thought, whoever was talking wanted to help. Possibly he or she could help pick the right book. "So what book do you suggest?" I whispered. "You don't need to do that, Lia." I flinched again, and this time the book in my hand slipped and fell. Did the voice just call my name? I bent to pick up the book, and lo and behold, the tiny creature that had been speakin
Dahlia's Point of View DING! MOON BLESSED'S FIRST TASK: RETRIEVE THE MOON STONE HIDDEN IN NORTHMONT HIGH What the? Did I hear Robby right? How did we get here? From trying to know who I am to...I paused when I remembered, half thought, that the system just called me Moon Blessed. That was the same name the white-robed woman called me in that dream, or whatever it was, on my seventeenth birthday. And then I remembered Robby told me that I am the last one of this bloodline. "That should be it, should be who I am, but what race? Which of the supernatural creatures am I? Another puzzle to solve." I thought aloud. Now back to what Robby said earlier, it tasked me to retrieve the Moon Stone, yet I'm confused. How do I get that, and what would it be used for? I'LL START BY GETTING MORE KNOWLEDGE IF I WERE YOU. Those were Robby's words. And to be candid, it was right. If I really wanted to know who I was or where this whole situation of mine hailed from, I needed to gain more knowledge
Dahlia's POV "You heard that. Who the hell do you think you are to show up at a party you weren't invited to?" Lunara spat as Kyren approached us. I was sure he wasn't talking to me, because if he was, that would have been some bullshit. Couldn't he have invited me to humiliate me after all he promised me just yesterday? "Could he?" I questioned myself. "I wasn't talking to Dahlia." Kyren clarified. My nerves calmed immediately when I heard those words. I had earlier thought of destroying Kyren right there without a prompt from Robby or even thinking about the repercussions of my actions. But the universe just saved him from a painful punch that could have led to his death. I lifted a log heavier than his father. Breaking his bones wouldn't be a difficult thing. "I was speaking to you, Luna. Who the hell do you think you are to embarrass my guests in such a manner?" He explained. Lunara's mouth flung open just as her eyes went wide. I didn't notice that we had drawn the att
Dahlia's Point of View A boy sat beside me, thanks to the empty seat on my left side, and handed me an envelope. "He wants me to give you this," the boy said. I took it and flashed a small smile at him. I didn't need to scan the hall to know who he referred to."Aren't you forgetting an important piece of information, Dahlia?" Soraya questioned me on our way to the dorm room to change our clothes. She had insisted we attend the opening event after-party that was organized by the seniors. It was to take place in a part of the cafeteria I never knew existed-a mini hall right behind the cafeteria. I never paid attention to details, so I wouldn't know.A few Year One students were said to be invited, and fortunately or unfortunately, I happened to get an invite thanks to Kyren, who sent two copies through the Year One student earlier. He watched as the boy approached me and delivered his message. I saw his gaze scan my hands, and I knew he was trying to see if I wore the wristband he g
Dahlia's Point of View Morning came in a flash; I jerked up all sweaty from a scary dream. If you ask me, I'd say I had that dream because of overthinking, but the butterflies in my stomach, which followed me right from the dream into real life said otherwise. Since the night Kyren sat beside me in the woods, I have been having a strange feeling towards him. Wanting to be wherever he is even when we wouldn't talk to each other, and my legs...yes..my legs seemed to disobey me each time he was close. As if they always wanted to pull me towards him. But this time around in my dream, I saw him standing beside me during a battle, promising me that he would be beside me no matter what. My body tingled at his words. I felt seen, loved, and cared for, all at once. But then the system chimed, reminding me that I was awake now. THE ALPHA WILL REJECT THE BOND, it said. What bond? Who was the alpha Robby meant? And who would he reject? I asked no one in particular. None of Robby's words m
