Chapter 78

Richard’s POV:

I woke up pretty early at the crack of dawn the next day, with a spring in my step. I dressed up in my grey sweatpants and a black shirt for my morning run, and after I laced up my trainers, I left my home swiftly and began on the run.

Taking the shortcut I always used through the forest, I began to move faster and faster with each second that passed. I continued running, only to stop abruptly when a pleasant and very familiar scent caught my attention.

I turned my head and noticed Arielle coming up towards my direction in the forest. She was up this early morning for a morning run as well, and I noticed with no small amount of pleasure, the way she had clearly improvise in her running. She was no longer panting and trying very hard to catch her breath like before. Instead, she seemed to be moving in stride.

She was also seemingly not seeing me where I was.

I smiled, using my hand to grab her arm, stopping her form moving any further as she was about to run past me, and
