Chapter 79

Richard’s POV

As soon as I set foot in the large meeting hall, I knew that something was going to definitely happen. I would be facing a lot of questioning today. And today, the entire ambience was full of tension.

To put it simply, it smelt like trouble.

And I was walking right into it.

The faces of the Elders was certainly not wncouraging as I stood in the center of the hall before them. However I was not an Alpha for nothing, and my formidable mental prowess was just as good as my own physical strength as well.

“Pack Elders,” I greeted them, nodding all around at them. They didn’t respond.

This was a well-known tactic by myself and Darren. Being the stubborn but charismatic Alpha and Beta of the Redding Pack that we were known as everywhere, the Elders sometimes seemed to have an axe to grind at the fact that we could always put up a strong and united front for them. They were wise, but I and Darren were the ones leading the pack.

Sometimes when we took a decision that the Pack El
