Chapter 13

The morning sunlight glittered on Simon's face as he laid peaceful in his fluffy mattress.

Simon blinked twice before his eyes flew open. The sunlight blinded his eyes, so it prompted him to sit upright to avoid the painful effect the sun had on his eyes.

The redness of his eyes was evident that he didn't sleep enough. He stretched and yawned. He was not fully awake yet, so he maintained his sitting position for some minutes.

The morning sun made the air glorious. The green leaves were more beautiful as the danced to the tune of the wind in appreciation for the sunrise.

The atmosphere was blissful. The birds of the air sang harmonious melodies as they went about their daily activities.

Everything seemed happy; the birds, wind and the plants were joyous, but it was different for Simon.

Apart from the fact that he didn't get enough sleep, he had a persistent headache. His facial expression was sour. There wasn't any iota of smile noticed.

He stood up from where he sat after being sure
