Her words landed like sharp claws scratching at my skin. My vision blurred with anger as I gripped her hands tightly.

“No!” I growled. “You don’t get to say that. You don’t get to throw everything away just because you’re angry.”

  • The Rejected Luna,The Hidden Heiress   Chapter 174

Selene's POV "Maybe," Mirella said with a cold smile. "But at least I have Victor's attention. At least he wants me in his bed. When was the last time he looked at you with anything other than pity?"I felt my hands tremble with rage, but I forced myself to stay calm. "Mirella, listen to me very carefully. There are three people being held hostage at the border right now. Three of our people. And there is enough poisoned food sitting in quarantine to destroy this entire pack. Children will lose their wolves. Adults will become addicted and lose control. This isn

Some things are too dangerous. You need to

Selene's POV I was happy for them. Genuinely, truly happy. But I couldn't stop the comparison. Couldn't stop thinking about how different my own ceremony would have been. How I would have stood there waiting for Victor to choose me, only to hear him say no. How I would have walked away with nothing but shame and a broken heart. The bitterness rose in my throat like poison, but I swallowed it down hard. This moment

Whatever Elara knew, I would find out at the ceremony. There was no point in spiraling about it now.Despite everything, I felt genuinely happy for her and Caz. What they had was real and pure. It was the kind of love that risked everything and came ou
