BACK TO PRESENT

After walking out of Victor’s quarters, my heart broke all over again.

He had asked me to leave without a second glance, like I meant nothing. Like all of that—my begging, my body, my soul—was just some act he could toss aside.

And maybe it was.

Maybe that was all I was to him now. Just a shameful mistake he couldn’t erase.

He had hated me while touching me. I could feel it in every grip, every thrust. He didn’t want me, he just wanted to remind me that he still owned me. That I was still his.
