Chapter Thirty Six

Aurora’s POV

A few days later, I was packing my things to leave for my new home. I sighed wistfully thinking about the last time I had to leave. Then I had a choice, but this time I was practically being forced into leaving. I cursed Klaus for what must have been the millionth time on that day.

My dad had been powerless against Klaus’s command. In the end, I had chosen to leave to prevent a war from breaking out.

I had no doubts that Klaus would make good on his threats to destroy my dad’s kingdom if I wasn’t handed over willingly or if I tried to run. I rubbed my stomach absentmindedly, once my baby was born, I would be vindicated and hopefully free from Klaus.

I stepped out of my room carrying only one suitcase containing my essentials; packing everything I owned felt like I was leaving forever. So I packed only a bag to remind myself that this was only temporary.

Downstairs, my dad was waiting for me with a solemn expression and my heart nearly broke at the sight. I
