Chapter 4: The Genius Triplets
“Mother,” A soft voice screamed from behind. “Ethan and Evan are always finding trouble in school, I thought it was better I tell you before it's too late.” Ella ignored the glares coming from her twin brothers and pulled away from them, to avoid being chased. Their mother instantly stopped what she was doing and turned to the two boys, who had already wrapped their hands around their heads in shame. They were disappointed that Ella had snitched on them. Even after bribing her with chocolate at school to quiet her, she still reported them to their mother. She always did. “Now tell me, what exactly happened?” Avery demanded, she didn't want this. She hated it when the triplets caused chaos in school because she knew that even the smallest incident could get them expelled. Luckily, they were able to attend such prestigious, luxurious school on scholarships, and she didn't want them to ruin that opportunity for themselves. Rich kids are easily irritated by the poor kids, so, she always preached to them never to get on their nerves. A single compliant from a rich kid could get them eliminated from the school. “But mother, this Boy is always getting on our nerves!!” Evan, the second triplet, complained bitterly, knowing his mother wouldn't want to hear their explanation before scolding them. Avery held both of their hands and smiled at them. “Trust me, sweetheart, I know you guys aren't at fault, but sometimes you gotta avoid these people. Next time, don't show them how triggered you are by responding. It's better to walk away.” Avery explained to the three of them. So they wouldn't understand why she was always against them even when they are right. With a serious gaze, she added, “the next thing Ella will report to me again, you guys will be grounded _ except for her, and I meant it.” Ella's eyes lit up in happiness, as she giggled She really hated it when the boys fought. the last time they got into a fight at school, things didn't end up well. They were brutally beaten and had to be taken to the school hospital, which worried their mother, a situation Ella didn't want to see again. So, in her mind, she wasn't snitching on them, she was protecting them. With grumpy face, the two boys nodded “We understand mother.” They chorused in unison. “They will never do that again, mother!” Ella said with a sneer and ran off when she saw the boys faces and their attempts to chase her. “Be merciful with your sister!” Avery bellowed, as she watched them chase Ella around the house, the little girl seemed to be enjoying herself. ***** Avery chuckled as she watched them playing . She loved seeing the triplets bonding with each other. She couldn't help but feel grateful. grateful to the woman who, twelve years ago, talked sense into her. If she had given up on them when they were babies, she would have lived with regret for the rest of her life. She would have hated herself even more, knowing she lost the only thing that could have made her happy. Twelve years ago, she regretted her situation, but now? she was thankful everything had turned out this way. Because if she hadn't been blessed with these amazing triplets, she would have been lonely everyday of her life. But the moment she brought these babies into the world, she knew they would be the only family she would ever have. The only family who wouldn't reject her or throw her away like garbage. She thank the universe for turning her fate into a miracle. ***** Avery was watching the evening news with the triplets when Robert Landon’s picture appeared on the screen. “We're indebted to the Robert family, especially Mr. Landon, who donated the sum of eighty thousand dollars ($80,000) to our orphanage.” the news anchor announced. Avery's body went cold instantly, that Man on the screen was the father of her children, and unfortunately, he had no Idea they existed. “Whoa, he must be so filthy rich!” Ethan said, staring at the screen. He admired the man. Trying to memorise his name in his head. “Robert Landon!” He muttered slowly. “Why does this man look like you, Evan?” Ella jokes, laughing at her own words. Avery flinch and quickly turned off the Television. She didn't want them to find out. She wasn't ready for that conversation. “Could he be your lost uncle?” Evan snapped back at her. “Because you look more like him than Ethan and me.” He smirked, hoping to make her feel bad for the joke she had made at his expense. “Perhaps we should find this man. I'm sure he will help us.” Ella said slowly, she gasped in shock when she realized she had said it out so loud for everyone to hear. Including her mother. her mother heard her. The look on her mother's face was terrifying. “What do you mean?” Avery questioned her, her gaze serious. She didn't like this. She didn't like it when the Triplets sympathised with her because of their situation. Ella immediately felt so bad. She saw the disappointment in the boys eyes n They couldn't hide it. “You don't get to worry about the situation of the house, Ella! That is not your place at all!” Avery bellowed in angers. “But mother, I overheard your conversation with the landlord, when he called to remind you that our house rent was overdue for months. I thought if we could find the man and tell him our problem, he would help us out. That's why I made that suggestion.” Ella explained, tears streaming down her face. She couldn't face her mother, nor the twins, so she ran to her room immediately. She needed to cry it out, hoping she would feel better afterward. Right now, she felt horrible for making that suggestion. Avery sighed deeply as she stared at the boys, who looked just as downcast. “I will go talk to her.” As soon as she left z Ethan turned to Evan and whispered, “I have a plan.” which he explains briefly . “What if we get caught?” Evan flinched at the Idea. He didn't support it. “We won't. Have you forgotten we are geniuses?” Ethan knew he had to Remind his brother who they were, he didn't like the way Evan was in reacting. Ethan knew Ella would be in support of this plan. She would be glad to help them. “I know that, but I'm still scared. You know this man. You know it wouldn't take him minutes to find our location if he figured out we were behind it.” Evan was still a little scared. He wouldn't want them to cause any trouble which might burden their mother. “If all three of us volunteers to do it together, I'm sure we wouldn't leave any traces. Ethan reassured his brother. “I'm sure Robert Landon is too rich to even notice a measly twenty thousand dollars being withdrawn from his account.” Ethan shrugged, excited at the Idea. He couldn't wait to tell Ella, she would be just as thrilled as he was. He was certain twenty thousand dollars was a small amount of money for a billionaire like Landon. Like the saying goes: if you have the opportunity to become rich, take it. Whether illegal or legal.Chapter 5: Breaking in, Cashing out. Ethan spent days studying Landon’s bank account, finding weak points in the system. He discovered that Landon's bank used a two_ step security system password and a verification code sent to Landon's phone. Evan, on the other hand, built a special device that could intercept messages sent to Landon's phone without alerting him. Ella, worked on an Al program that would cover their tracks by making it look like Landon himself had approved the transaction. Every detail was planned. There was no room for errors. Ethan believes they could do this. He knew who they were. They were the geniuses of their school. They were so good with technology that even their teachers were afraid of them. The student were jealous of their intelligence Ethan believes they were gifted with talent from birth. Ethan, the eldest of the triplets, had a natural gift for hacking. What started as fun quickly evolved into an unparalleled skill. By twelve he could bypass fi
Chapter 6: A Dangerous Game. “Do you have any idea who must be behind this?” Landon questioned his P. A, who had been standing in one position, awaiting his boss' command and instructions. “No, sir!” He replied politely, getting Landon furious with such a response. Landon can't seem to wrap his head around the whole thing. He couldn't seem to fathom out who must have hacked his account. Landon knew every good cyber security expert in this country, and he wasn't sure they could do this to him. They were familiar with him and respected him greatly. If they were really behind this, he believed they would have made away with a much larger sum of money. “Think, Owen. Do you know any upcoming cyber security? Probably someone who's good with technology?” Landon questioned him again, determined to catch the culprit today and teach them a lesson. “ I'm not really sure, but I heard there's this triplets attending your school, they're good with technology. What if someone made plans with
Chapter 7: “Even if what you're saying is true, you're not the mother of the triplets, The triplets are our children. You were just a surrogate mother.” Gianna said, with a shaking breath. *Nope! You got it all wrong! Avery stops walking around her and station herself in one place. Now it's time to break the unpleasant news, which might send waves of electricity into her body, thereby resulting in fainting. “Remember, we were to do gestational surrogacy, but unfortunately, your genetics weren't compatible with him, and if the doctor had proceeded with it, it would have led to a fall operation. So the doctor requested we did a traditional surrogacy, where my egg was used with your husband sperms, which means the triplets are fucking mine”, she said with a contempt. “And the child you claim you have today, belongs to another man.” She added. Gianna felt a heavy wave in her chest, a sinking feeling overwhelming her. Her whole body shuts down for some seconds and later starts fu
Chapter 8: A web Of Lies Gianna sighed deeply as she stepped out of the car and headed straight to the house. It was already late. She had spent almost the entire day with Ranon, her baby father. Enjoying a romantic time with him. Gianna froze when she saw her husband seated in the sitting room. She had no idea someone was there. “Where are you coming from?” Landon questions his tone with a whisper. He was calm, which reassured Gianna that he hadn't suspected anything. “That's strange and sudden. Are you now interested in my daily affairs?” Gianna was concerned, even though they were a married couple and he had the right to ask her about her whereabouts, it still felt strange to her. All those years of marriage, he had never once cared about her. “I am your husband. Of course ,I have every right to know your daily affairs!” He shrugged at her. His tone was calm and soothing. Which was unlike him. Landon looked at her and shook his head in disappointment. “If you're tire
Chapter 9 : Seduction And Silence A wave of dread washed over her as the triplets walked towards her. “Good morning, ma'am!” The triplets all greeted in unison, wondering why the woman had called them. “How can we help you?” Ella shrugged at the woman, her voice firm and steady. They had never been on Good terms with her son, so why had she called them? Gianna lost control of herself immediately, she couldn't breathe. She felt suffocated by the sight of the triplets. She was speechless. Their pointed noses, their eyes, everything_ it was the same as Landon, her husband. Gianna forced herself to regain composure, letting out a fake smile before facing them. “That's right!” She murmured with a smile, running her hand through Ella's hair. “Luke actually reported something to me “ Their faces change immediately, shifting from their normal expression to one of disdain “That we bullied him?” Evan questioned and Gianna nodded her head. “But I'm not here to scold any of you.
Chapter 10_ His step brother Every day, Landon regretted his decision. He regretted being used by his father for his own selfish gains. If everything had not been based on an arranged marriage, he would never have married Gianna, a woman for whom he felt absolutely nothing. He had thought that perhaps, with time, he would grow to like her, but that had never happened. Her character was simply unbearable. It irritated him to no end and made him regret his choice even more. But could he really be to blame? He had been just a twenty three years old young man when he had been forced to make such life altering decisions. If he had been older and wiser then, he would not have allowed his family to influence him into making such a terrible mistake by marrying Gianna. Even after twelve years, he still did not truly know the kind of person Gianna was. ****** Landon studied her movements carefully and could see how terrified she was. Her entire body trembled tremendously. He coul
Chapter 11: Diary of a chef At the small portable dinner table, an Omelette was served, seated around it were four figures. Avery and the triplets. “Can't believe we're finally eating this again!” Ella exclaimed happily. During the time her mother was too broke to afford it, she hardly made omelette, and even when she did, there was never any meat, no chicken. Nothing. It was always just eggs, fried with butter and vegetables. But today, the story was different . Assuming they didn't make that decision that day, they would still be living in poverty. Ella was glad Ethan had come up with that Idea, And she was grateful they were geniuses; otherwise, none of this would have been possible. “mmm, this is so good!” Evan exclaimed, sipping his glass of juice. “Mother, you are the best chef ever!” Ethan compliments, munching more of the omelette in his mouth. Ella's mood changed abruptly as a thought came to her mind. There was no way she wouldn't tell her mother about this. She ne
Chapter 12: Encounter Hayley, Smith's wife who was walking by at that moment, happened to hear the sound screams of her girlfriend, who seemed to scream like that. She traced the sounds, which led her to the kitchen, where she witnessed a stranger pulling her girlfriend's ear. She didn't even ask what had happened before pushing Avery away. Her skin crawled with anger when she realized who Avery was. She was just an ordinary chef, also a commoner, who had no right to do what she just did. “I will kill you alive!!” Gianna wasn't satisfied. She wanted to beat Avery to death right now and right here. She couldn't tolerate the disrespect Avery just showed her. Gianna pushed Avery around the kitchen, and when Avery noticed she might break one or two things in the process of running away from Gianna, she decided to stop running and face Gianna. Perhaps this was the time for her to finally repay Gianna back for all the suffering she had made her endure. Hayley, on the other hand, w
Chapter 56: The night Landon couldn’t sleep that night. The words Smith told him kept playing in his head like a broken record. He sat in the dark, staring at the wall. His hands were shaking, and his heart was heavy. He had so many questions, but there was no one to ask. Nathan had disappeared. Smith was locked up. And Robert—the man he thought was his father—was dead. The next morning, Landon went to the prison to see Smith again. He needed answers. The guard recognized him and let him in. Smith was already waiting in the visitor’s room, sitting with his hands cuffed and eyes tired. He looked like a man who had carried secrets for too long.Landon sat down opposite him. "I want to know everything. No more lies."Smith nodded slowly. "I’ll tell you. But some things are going to hurt.""I don’t care. Just say it."Smith took a deep breath. "Your name is Landon Smith. You’re not Robert’s biological son. You’re mine. Your mother, Alice, was my first love. But I was poor, and Robert wa
Chapter 55: His Woman The day Nathan left the hospital was quiet. There was no celebration, no speeches or loud goodbyes. Just a simple discharge and a silent car ride home. He sat in the back seat beside Emma, staring out the window like a ghost from another world. Robert drove while Landon sat up front, giving Nathan space. None of them spoke much during the ride. There was too much to say, and none of them knew how to start. The city passed by in a blur, but Nathan wasn’t really looking. He was lost in his own head, haunted by memories and guilt. When they finally reached Robert’s home, it felt like stepping into a place frozen in time. Nothing had changed, but everything felt different. Emma led Nathan to the guest room upstairs. The bed was already made. Clean clothes sat folded on a chair. “You can stay here for now,” she said softly. He nodded, didn’t speak. Just walked in and sat on the edge of the bed.Downstairs, Robert poured himself a cup of tea. Landon stood at the windo
Chapter 54: trembling Robert’s heart broke at the sound of Nathan’s words. He wanted to pull him close, to tell him that it was all going to be okay, that they could fix this. But he knew better than to lie. He knew that this would take time. He had to be patient."You don’t have to face it all at once," Robert said quietly. "We’ll take it slow. We’ll work through this together. But you have to trust me, Nathan. I’m not going to leave you. I’m here, and I’m not going anywhere."Nathan didn’t answer at first. He just lay there, his eyes closed again, his face turned away. But Robert could see the tears at the corners of his eyes. Nathan was trying to be strong, trying to hold it all together. But the truth was too much for him to carry alone."I’m sorry," Nathan whispered after a long pause, his voice breaking. "I’m so sorry."Robert’s chest tightened, and he fought to keep his emotions in check. "You don’t have to apologize. You don’t have to carry this alone anymore."Nathan finally
Chapter 53: The GameThe gun in Nathan’s hand trembled slightly, as though the weight of it was too much for him to bear. Robert could see the conflict in his eyes, the flicker of uncertainty that passed through them. Was Nathan really ready to do this? Ready to pull the trigger and end everything?Robert’s heart hammered in his chest, the blood rushing in his ears. He couldn’t believe it, not after everything they’d been through. The truth about Nathan, about his son, was like a punch to the gut. How had this happened? How could he have been blind to it all these years? But now wasn’t the time to dwell on the past. Now was the time to act. Nathan was standing there, the weapon raised, and Robert knew that the next few seconds would decide everything."Put the gun down, Nathan," Robert said, his voice steady, despite the panic that swirled inside him. "This isn’t the way. You don’t have to do this."Nathan’s eyes flickered, but the gun didn’t waver. "You don’t understand, do you? You
Chapter 52: A bitter Truth The drive felt long, each mile a reminder that they were getting closer to something they couldn’t fully prepare for. Robert kept his thoughts to himself, but his mind raced. He had always been ahead of Nathan, always outwitting him, always prepared for his next move. But this time, the rules were different. This time, Nathan wasn’t the only one playing. They arrived at Clearwater just as the sun began to dip below the horizon. The small town was eerily quiet, the kind of place that seemed to hold its breath, waiting for something to happen. The motel was tucked away at the edge of the town, almost hidden behind a line of trees. It wasn’t much to look at—faded signs, cracked pavement, a few cars parked outside."We’ll stay in separate rooms," Robert said, his voice low. "Keep a low profile. Nathan won’t expect us to show up this soon. If he’s here, we’ll catch him off guard."Landon nodded. "Let’s do this."They checked into the motel, each of them silently
Chapter 51Bloodline SecretsNathan crouched in the woods behind an old farmhouse, watching as the car carrying Grace and Kevin drove away. He had always been good at hiding in plain sight. Disguises, fake identities, silent movement—he had mastered them all. He didn't blame Grace for telling Robert the truth. She had done what any mother would. But it didn't change his plans. Not one bit.Back in the motel, Robert sat on the bed, staring at the note Nathan left behind. Emma paced the room, her arms folded tightly across her chest, while Landon stood near the window, scanning the dark road outside."He’s watching us," Emma muttered."Yeah," Landon said, "and he knows we’re close."Robert held the note tighter. "That boy... Kevin. He has no idea what kind of history he's a part of. He doesn’t know about Smith, or me, or Nathan."Emma sat beside him. "He doesn’t have to. We can keep him out of it."Robert looked at her, the corners of his mouth twitching into a tired smile. "You always
Chapter 50: the past Landon stared out the window as Emma drove through the quiet streets. His hands were shaking. He glanced at his father, who lay weakly in the back seat, wrapped in a blanket Emma had given him. Robert’s face was pale. His eyes closed. Every few minutes, Landon checked if he was still breathing.Emma looked at Landon, her voice soft. “Where do we go now?”Landon took a deep breath. “To my mom’s old cabin. No one knows about it. We’ll be safe there.”Robert mumbled something. Landon leaned closer.“What is it, Dad?”“Water…”Emma passed a bottle to Landon, who helped Robert drink. The man looked at his son and whispered, “Thank you for finding me.”Landon swallowed hard. “I’m sorry it took so long.”They drove for hours, making sure they weren’t followed. At last, they reached the cabin. It was small but warm. Emma helped Landon settle Robert onto a couch. Then she started a fire. Landon made soup. When it was ready, Robert ate slowly.“Why did Nathan do this?” Lan
Chapter 49: His Perfect PlanNathan couldn’t take his eyes off the boy sitting in front of him. Landon looked so much like Robert, it made Nathan’s chest tighten. The same nose, lips, and sharp eyes. He folded his arms, leaned back in the chair, and watched silently. Landon sat across from him, confused. He didn’t know why Nathan had invited him here or what he wanted.Nathan had been waiting for this day for a long time. The day he would face Robert’s son—the boy who had everything. The boy who lived the life Nathan believed was stolen from him.Landon didn’t know the truth. He didn’t know Nathan was not just some stranger. He didn’t know Nathan was his uncle—his father’s twin brother. The twin no one knew about. The twin who was left behind.Nathan never believed in destiny. But all that changed three years ago.It happened in the most unexpected place. Nathan had stopped at a roadside restaurant to eat. As he waited for his food, he looked up at the television on the wall. The news
Chapter 48: His father's twins Landon was left alone with the strange man in the ward, the man who looks exactly like his dead father, who was lying down, A white clothes wrapped around his body. “My son!” The man called, finally raising his head up for Landon to have a total view of him. He took off the doctor's coat and leaned close to him. “Who are you?” Landon question. He knew this person in front of him wasn't his father. His father was the one lying down there, helplessly, not this one who seems to look like his clone. Perhaps, this was part of Smith's plans. “If you don't respond, I will have no choice but to raise an alarm and you'll be arrested.” Landon threatens him. “Okay.. just calm down. I will introduce myself to you!” The man responded to him. His voice sounds exactly the same as his father's. Which was what bothers him so much. How's it possible? He can't just seem to wrap his head around the whole thing. The more he tries, the more his head keeps throbbing. “Y
