Mira’s hands trembled as she pressed a towel to Scarlet’s bleeding nose, whispering curses under her breath. “Fuck, you look like hell,” she muttered, trying to steady her.

Scarlet winced, her body trembling, her skin cold as winter frost. She felt drained, as though the world had bled her dry. The room spun around her, filled with the sharp scent of burned incense and blood.

Grey stood frozen, disbelief etched across his face as Alpha Zyn...his father...gasped for air and slowly sat up on the couch. The entire room went silent. Sorcerers who had once mocked Scarlet now fell to their knees, trembling at the sight of their Alpha breathing again.

Mira’s lips parted in awe. “Holy shit… she actually did it.”

Scarlet’s eyes fluttered weakly, blood still dripping down her nose. Grey rushed to her, catching her before she collapsed. For a moment, his heart softened; guilt pooled in his chest. He wanted to say something...thank her, maybe...but when he turned to look at her again… she was gon

Alpha Ronan stormed out of the award hall like a predator on the edge of snapping a neck. The applause from the stands still echoed behind him, but he didn’t hear it...his head pulsed with jealousy, rage, and something far more embarrassing: insecurity. The Lycan. The ancient bastard with white hair and a reputation older than half the universe…He’d showered Scarlet...Scarlet...with gifts like she was precious fucking royalty.Ronan’s jaw clenched so tight he felt his teeth creak. He pushed the bathroom door open, the metal groaning under the pressure. He wasn’t here to piss. He was here to breathe before he did something unforgivable. He gripped the sink until it cracked.“Fuck,” he growled at his reflection. “Why her? Why him? Why the fuck does he look at her like she’s...”The door slammed open again.Liora.Of course. She rushed in, her fake tears already glittering, her skirt hitched too high in desperation.Without asking permission...not that she ever did...she grabbed his wr

The hall that had moments ago erupted in applause now crackled with unease sharp enough to slice skin. The glowing trophy in Scarlet’s hands suddenly felt twice as heavy. Beside her, Mira stiffened. Grey’s wolf bristled. Ronan’s aura thickened like a gathering storm.Luna Helena’s trembling finger never wavered as she stabbed it toward Scarlet again, her voice shrill and venomous enough to poison the air.“That girl has no pedigree. No lineage. No respect. She should be expelled instead of awarded!”Her words slammed into the hall like a bomb.A thousand murmurs burst at once ... shocked whispers, gasps, hissing gossip. Admiration twisted into doubt. Jealousy slithered through the crowd like smoke.Scarlet felt her wolf twitch. She kept her spine straight, refusing to bow to dirty words thrown by a mother desperate to fix her daughter’s incompetence. The announcer tried to regain control, voice raised, hands lifted.“Everyone, please calm down! We cannot expel a student simply becau

The next morning arrived like a threat.Scarlet barely slept, Mira snored like a dying engine beside her, and the entire Blackwood Academy buzzed through the walls with anxiety. The competition hall wasn’t just “big” ... it was a monstrous cathedral of intellect, magic, and wolf authority. Tall obsidian pillars carved with runes spiraled upward until they vanished into thick clouds of mist and glowing chandeliers. Silver banners of every great academy hung from the ceiling, each radiating mana so strong Scarlet felt her bones hum.Thousands of werewolves filled the seats: elders with white fur braided into collars, young prodigies glowing with arrogance, genius wolves who had lived centuries and looked twenty. Even the media was out in full force ... floating orbs recording the stage, strange glass devices Scarlet had never seen before flickering with blue runes. Every flash made her chest tighten.“Holy shit,” Mira whispered beside her. “This is not a school event. This is a whole

The director’s assistant forced out a choked, awkward laugh...too sharp, too quick...his eyes glued to the mailman as if the uniform alone demanded worship. They both bowed stiffly, muttered their goodbyes, and hurried out like frightened rats.Scarlet watched them go with a slow, wicked smile stretching across her lips.“So,” she said, her voice dripping venomous satisfaction, “that means Beta Alaric really did connive with that scheming, plastic-faced bitch Liora.”Mira scoffed and tossed her braids behind her shoulder. “Obviously. You think Liora has the brains to pull something that complicated by herself? Please. Her wolf probably needs Google Maps to find her own moral compass.”Scarlet snorted. “Bitch doesn’t even have one.”The director cleared his throat sharply as if reminding them he existed. “Ladies… I understand your frustrations but...”“You understand shit,” Mira snapped before he finished. “You wanna pretend this didn’t happen? After what they tried? Fuck no.”Scarlet

At the director’s office. “What?” Scarlet shouted, voice echoing off the wooden shelves and old stone walls. Her chest heaved, fury pumping through her veins. “Are you trying to tell me you can’t find your copy of the results?”The director's assistant...a tall, aging wolf with grey streaks in his beard...looked like someone had stabbed him with a silver fork. His hands trembled as he flipped through stacks of papers, parchments, scrolls, even his personal folders.“I...I don’t understand,” he muttered, pushing his glasses up his nose. “I keep everything in perfect order. I never misplace things. How could it be gone?”Scarlet glared at him. “Because someone fucking took it, that’s why.”He didn’t respond. Sweat dripped down his temple. The director tore through drawers, shelves, cabinets, even the locked chest beside his desk. He looked more panicked with every passing second.“This is bad… this is very bad…” he whispered under his breath. “If the Lycan Council hears the Blackwoods

Mira tugged on Scarlet’s sleeve, practically vibrating with anxious curiosity. “Who is that student? Does she have two heads? Did the Moon Goddess personally come and whisper answers into her ear?” Her tone tried to stay playful, but fear cracked through every syllable. The hallway was loud, buzzing, feral...even the wolves that usually acted civilized were pacing like they’d smelled blood.Scarlet didn’t want to check the list. She didn’t want to walk into a crowd of whispering, wide-eyed students who already looked like they were waiting for her to crumble. She knew she hadn’t answered every question. She knew her score would be low...maybe embarrassingly low. Her wolf was already gnawing at her insides, irritated by the thought of failure. But Mira, stubborn as ever, dragged her anyway.Their footsteps echoed against the stone floors as they neared the crowd. Dozens of students parted when they saw Scarlet approaching, eyes widening with something between fear and disbelief. Scarle
