ALICE MORGAN

I stared at my father, Felix as he struggled to lift the boiling water from the stove. He had never been good in the kitchen, and after mother had passed, Ayra had been the one in the kitchen.

I sighed as my mind does a reminder, bringing back memories I don't want to entertain. It was pure bliss, the way I had made sure she had been rejected and pushed away by the pack. It was a total bliss assuming the role of a Luna as a chosen mate for Alpha Damian.

Now it was bitter sweet because my father had seemed to talk about how he was sorry he had mistreated her, and many other gibberish that I certainly didn't want to hear. His tone full of regret which etched my ears badly.

Putting the boiled water into a cup, I knew he was thinking about her. From the way he hung his head, the dejectedness seemed to fill the room. I wished Leo was here, at least he would've talked some sense into his father but he was far gone beyond.
