Chapter 48

"Sofera," Arya called behind my back when I was almost close to the door.

I turned around with my head bowed to the ground.

"Yes, my lady, do you need anything?"

She sighed. I knew what she was about to say—even a blind man could notice my change of altitude.

"I will be going for a walk in the garden when the sun goes down, and I want you to come along with me," she said, her eyes observing my every movement.

I knew she noticed the slight change in me but blamed it based on the headache that I gave; she didn't want to press on.

"Take some rest after serving me breakfast; that will be all for now." I took a deep breath before walking away.

Her systems and body seem to react differently to her mind. Her mind was set on stones while her body quivered.

As the sun's rays hid behind the horizon, it was almost close to nightfall. Arya walked hand in hand with her personal maid, Sofera.
