Audrey's POV.

"What's going on here?" King Kaden barked whilst glancing darkly between I and the head slave whose hand was still raised in the air, in a position that showed that she was ready t o strike me again.

"My king, I'm sorry, I was punishing her for her recent behaviors." The head slave rushedout quickly with her head bowed.

She looked quite petrified, and in a deep dark corner of my heart, I was glad that the king had stepped in to scare her a little on my behalf.

"What behavior?" King Kaden tilted his head whilst glancing between I and the head slave, and when she still silent say a thing, he scoffed.

"She uhm… stays out late and the rest; and I’m only doing my job by keeping her in order" She stuttered fearfully.

I could literally see her hands and feet shaking as she spoke and it filled me with so much joy that she was being given a taste of her medicine.

"You don't need to explain yourself! She works for me and so do you…Which gives you no right to hit her, especially
