AUDREY’S POV

I waited for Jacob’s reply to my sarcastic but true comment about the palace but it did not come, the intent of it had not fazed him a bit I noticed and I began to wonder what went on through his mischievous mind.

Jacob gently placed his arm around my back and I flinched at the feel of his strong arms around me but let him guide me to a chair close to his throne.
