In a dark and stuffy room, Damian sat on the floor with his hands tied behind his back. His clothes were shabby, his hair was disheveled, and his face was covered in bruises.

The sound of party music could be heard faintly in the distance, making Damian's blood boil. "Elena is having a reception today?" the man muttered softly, full of anger. "I can't just leave it at that!"

The rope around his wrists began to loosen. Damian continued to rub his hands against the edge of the wooden chair.

"I won't let Elena be happy," Damian hissed. "I'm the father of Elena's children. I should be Elena's husband, not Nathan!"

It took twenty minutes for the bonds to finally break.

Damian rose slowly, the man's body unsteady, but the look in Damian's eyes was blazing. He opened an old cabinet in the corner of the room, taking out a jacket, black hat, and sunglasses.

"That party... I'm going to make it a nightmare for Nathan."

In Nathan's family's glass palace, the night was grand. Lights hung from

Damian gazed at Elena, who remained silent, her eyes swollen from tears. His breath came heavy, as though he was carrying an invisible burden.“Nathan… is he really my husband?” Elena asked again, her voice trembling.Damian nodded slowly. “Yes, El. You married him… after we separated.”Elena shook her head, her face filled with confusion and panic. “So what they said is true? Everything feels so strange, Damian. Why did I have to suffer from amnesia?”Damian let out a long sigh, then reached for his phone on the table. “I know you won’t believe just my words. I’ll show you something.”Elena stared at Damian with tear-filled eyes, waiting silently. He opened his phone gallery and showed her a photo. In the picture, Elena was wearing an elegant gown, standing beside a man with a calm face and a warm smile—Nathan.“This…” Elena’s voice caught. “That’s… me?”Damian nodded gently. “Yes. That’s your wedding photo with Nathan. I got it from a news post.”Elena stared at the photo for a long

Chapter 181Elena closed Alva’s bedroom door softly after making sure her son was sound asleep. His small, even breaths eased her a little. She looked at his innocent face and whispered, “Sleep well, son…”She turned and walked into the main room. The warm glow of the yellow lamp softened the space. Damian sat at the small table by the window, focused on his laptop screen. Papers lay scattered around him—café layout sketches and menu drafts.Elena came over and sat in the chair beside him. She studied Damian’s face: tired, with a tight line between his brows.“You’re not sleeping yet?” Elena asked quietly.Damian glanced over and gave a thin smile. “Not yet. There’s still a lot to finish.”Elena nodded, then noticed how stiff his shoulders looked. Without thinking, she reached out and gently rubbed them. “They must be sore, huh?”Damian flinched and reflexively knocked her hand away. “Don’t, El.”Elena stared at him, confused. “Why?”Damian swallowed; his expression tightened. “I… I d

Damian’s car stopped in front of a small tropical-style villa. Located on the outskirts of the city, the building was simple, but clean and comfortable. Tall trees surrounded the area, making the atmosphere feel calm and far from the noise.Elena slowly opened the car door. She looked at the villa with a furrowed brow. “Damian… we’re staying here?” she asked softly.Damian turned and gave a short nod. “Yes. For now, we’re staying here.”Katty and Delya got out of the back seat first, followed by Alva who immediately grabbed Elena’s hand.“But… this isn’t our house, right?” Elena was still trying to be sure. “I don’t remember us living in a villa…”Damian gave a small smile. “It’s not. This wasn’t our home before.”Elena looked at him, confused. “Then... what happened to your parents? Your mom and dad… my in-laws?”Damian was silent for a moment, then took a deep breath. “They’re… not here anymore, Elena.”“What do you mean?”“Lancaster went bankrupt a long time ago. Mom… is now in a m

Damian parked his car right in front of the Drake Sebastian (Nathan) family mansion. The morning air was still cool, but his heart felt heavy. He wasn’t entirely sure about this decision. But he knew, this wasn’t about him. It was about Elena and Nathan’s relationship. As soon as Damian stepped out of the car, the front door swung open. Elena ran outside with a glowing face.“Damian!” she called out. Before Damian could say anything, Elena immediately threw her arms around him.“I knew you’d come... I knew you wouldn’t leave me…” Elena whispered, burying her face in Damian’s chest.Damian was slightly surprised, then slowly returned the hug. But soon, he gently pulled away.“Elena… that’s enough for now,” Damian said calmly.Elena looked at him with a furrowed brow. “Why? Are you mad at me?”Before Damian could answer, Nathan appeared from behind the door. His expression was flat, but the look in his eyes couldn’t hide what he was feeling.“Damian…” Nathan said quietly, giving him a s

That morning, the sun was already high when Damian arrived at the construction site. Dust filled the air as workers began marking the foundation area. Tamara stood not far from him, reviewing the design plans on her tablet. Her hair was tied in a ponytail, her face serious.“Looks like everything’s on schedule,” Tamara said, glancing briefly at Damian.Damian nodded. “Let’s hope it stays that way until the end.”Today marked the first day of construction for the café they had designed together. It was supposed to be a fresh start—calm, simple, far from all the chaos of the past.Suddenly, Damian’s phone rang. Nathan appeared on the screen.“Excuse me for a second,” Damian said, stepping aside.“Hello?” he answered.“Damian, it’s me,” Nathan’s voice sounded tired.“What’s wrong?” Damian immediately grew alert.“Elena,” Nathan replied. “She keeps asking to go back to the Lancaster Mansion. She insists that you’re her husband—and that’s the only reality she believes in.”Damian let out a

It had been a week since Elena woke up from her coma. Her days passed quietly in Nathan’s mansion—a place that felt unfamiliar, even though everyone around her seemed to know her so well. That morning, Elena sat in the family room, gazing at the garden through the large glass window. The air felt fresh, but her mind remained clouded with questions. A cup of tea sat in her hand, long gone cold. She hadn’t touched it.Footsteps echoed from the hallway. Grandma Clara entered, followed by Mrs. Sonia.“Elena, sweetheart, have you taken your morning medication?” Grandma Clara asked gently.Elena shook her head slowly. “Later, Grandma.”Sonia sighed and sat beside her. “You need to take care of yourself. Your body isn’t fully recovered yet, dear.”Elena turned to them, her eyes filled with confusion.“I’m sorry… I know you’re both being kind. But I still feel like a stranger here,” she said honestly.Sonia and Clara exchanged a brief glance. Grandma Clara offered a patient smile.“You’re not
