I was quiet as I sat in front of the mirror, getting ready for the day after taking a shower.

Kai left the room earlier, giving me the chance to get my privacy as I got ready, and I couldn’t help but let out a sigh as I took sight of the ring which was now wrapped around my finger.

The fact that he had given it to me, the fact that we were now wearing rings only made this a lot harder for me. It made it mean that we were real, that we were man and wife, and at this point, I didn’t know what to do.

My wolf, who has been on edge since I slept last night, seemed to be at peace, and that was something that I didn’t understand. The effect that he was having on me was one that I didn’t understand.

The door was knocked, and I didn’t need to look to know that it was Kai. His scent filled my nostrils long before he even touched the door.
