LOGINCHAPTER THREE
FINN I struggled to get away from the Alpha, but his body pinned mine down, restricting my movement. “Hold still, this would be over before you even know it” He panted out above me, his hand slipping between my legs. Suddenly, his weight pressing against me was gone. A loud thud drew my attention to where the Alpha now laid crumpled. What…How…? My mind was whirling with questions when a large figure came to stand in front of me. My breath caught in my lungs at the sight before me; the wolf before me was huge. It had an eye patch covering one eye. Through the pain I recognized the wolf before me. It was one said to be a folktale; used to warn pups to behave. The mad king. The wolf stepped closer to me, its paws resting by each side of my head as it lowered its head. I squeezed my eyes shut, prepared for the worst. “Alpha!” I heard someone growl out. The rest of the Alphas chasing after me spilled into the clearing I laid down in. The huge wolf stepped over me; his under belly vibrating with a growl. I shivered underneath the wolf, my skin growing hotter than ever as my vision doubled briefly. For some reason, the need to rub my naked skin against his fur burned within me. The wolf glanced down at me, his nose flaring as the pupil of his eyes dilated. “We found him first! He is ours to keep” I heard an Alpha growl out impatiently. With way the mad king stood above me; his growls getting worse by the second, it seemed like he wanted to…keep me? An intense pain ridded me of my thinking ability at that moment, a whimper falling out of my lips as I curled up on myself. By the time the cramping feeling that had me squeezing my eyes relieved me, the Alpha's already shifted into their wolf form. My eyes swung to the wolf standing in front of me now, my bones shaking with pure terror. I couldn't say what the wolf would do to me even if he manages to chase the other Alphas away. He could…I shook the thought away, trying to crawl away from the clearing. I couldn't let that happen to me, I must not let it happen. The moment I moved an inch from where I was previous, the attention of the wolf drew to me, making me freeze. I swallowed hard, his attention on me triggering slick out of my already sensitive hole. One of the Alphas lunged at the mad king, its paws glinting wickedly in the dim light that penetrated the branches above us. I looked away, my stomach recoiling at seeing blood. I let out a whimper involuntary as I covered my ears with my hands. What was I doing?! I am meant to get away! Not wait around for the aftermath of the fight. Without glancing behind me, I continued to crawl away. Each drag of my body against the rough terrain of the forest had me shivering in pain and a twisted pleasure in equal measure. “Boys! Get him!” I heard someone call out. No, no, no. I was so close to getting away. I put more effort into my crawling; the thought of having several, unfamiliar hands on me had me biting down on my bottom lip in terror. I should have listened to my gut feeling and stayed back in town, maybe this wouldn’t be happening now. I wished Oliver would appear out of nowhere and take me away from here. I know I should call out his name right now, he would surely be looking for me with how long I was gone. But fear had my throat fused together, just breathing was taking a lot from my already weak body. “I got you little one” I heard behind as I felt a hand clamp down on my ankle. “Let me go” I let out hoarsely, hitting him in the face with my free leg. “Son of a bitch !” He cursed out, releasing my leg. I managed to stand, making my way deeper into the forest with blurred vision and a wound that ached fiercely. The wound should have been healed by now but due to my heat, my healing ability is slowed down. “I would teach you a lesson when I lay my hands on you, Omega!” The Alpha I had hit roared out. Panicking I stumbled into a small cave made out of dead tree branches, rubbing myself with the moist earth frantically. This should throw them off my track. I curled up on myself in the cave, sniffling back the tears that threatened to drip down my cheeks. If I got out of this situation, I would never go near a forest again. “Where are you, Tiny one?” I heard another Alpha call out close to where I hid, my body growing tense. I placed my head between my legs, trying not to draw attention to where I hid as I breath through the panic that wanted to consume me. I felt something creak on top of the cave, my heart pounding harder against my chest as blood rushed through my ears. I heard the branches been moved away; they were going to find me any moment from now! I dashed out of the cave only to run into a broad chest. “I told you he was in there” The Alpha before me laughed, a trickle of dried blood tracking into his nose. He was the one I had hit earlier, the one who promised pain. I shifted backward, my movement stopping as I hit another warm body. The Alpha behind me placed his hand on my chest, squeezing slight. “Look at that, these would grow nicely when we put our pups in you” I shivered with disgust at his statement, my hand moving before I could stop it as I tried railing my elbow into his chest. A loud growl from behind the Alpha had me stopping. I turned slightly to see the mad King was here. His snout had blood around it as he snarled at the wolves that stood close to me. “H-he is ours! You don’t get to-’’ The Alpha before me was saying when the mad king swiped at him with a huge paw. He landed against a tree with a sickening thud. I knew without looking towards him he was likely dead. The one behind me tried to run, pushing me to the ground in his haste. The wolf lunged at him, the sound of a claw cutting through soft skin followed by the Alpha’s cry had me wincing, my body shuddering with fear. Was I next? I questioned as I felt a cold snout sniff at my neck.CHAPTER FORTY-SEVENFINN"W-wait," Felix gasped out, causing me to stagger to a halt. I threw a quick glance backward, hoping not to see Alpha Haven and his warriors."A-Are you okay?" I asked, collapsing onto the ground beside Felix as my chest heaved heavily with exertion."I'm fine. How did you find out I... needed help?" Felix panted out. My gaze dropped to the area of his neck that I had seen Alpha Haven gnawing on."He almost marked you. If I hadn't gotten there early, you would have gotten pregnant with your impending heat," I mumbled, shaken for some reason.Maybe it was because of how my father had stressed the importance of not getting involved with Alphas when I was close to my heat or during it."I would have pushed him away," Felix mumbled quietly, his face flushed red. I knew it certainly wasn't because we ran. He was probably revisiting the moment Alpha Haven had almost marked him."I don't think you would have. You practically melted against his chest," I said out loud
CHAPTER FORTY-SIX FINNI swallowed, stepping a few feet back as I watched Alpha Haven's body grow a bit bigger."Don't try to deny it, Haven. I saw you both," Oliver bit out stubbornly, his eyes set on Alpha Haven with intense dislike."What is Oliver saying? Is the Alpha interested in males?" one of the pack members whispered."You would watch what you say to the Alpha. I am his right hand; of course we would be together." Felix countered Oliver's statement as he silenced the pack member's not-so-quiet comment."You might open up your hole for my brother to fuck and manage to deceive everyone about that fact, but—"One minute, Oliver was standing before me; the next, he was making a dent in the farthest wall of the pack house.Alpha Haven stalked over to where Oliver had crashed into the wall, his steps making the ground tremble."Alpha Haven, I'm sure he is unconscious." Felix stopped Alpha Haven with a hand on his arm. They seemed to exchange unspoken words, Felix's eyes pleading
CHAPTER FORTY-FIVEXAVIER"Alpha Xavier! It isn't what it looks like. Let's talk about this like reasonable people!" Gavin yelled as the guards slammed the gate to his cell shut."There is nothing to talk about. You're a traitor, and I will make sure I track down everyone involved in this," I gritted out before I stalked away from the underground prison."Did you find anything?" I questioned Marek as I emerged from the entrance of the underground prison."I'm sorry. We found nothing but a faint scent." Marek bowed as he fell into step beside me."We will have to move closer to the Black Fang pack. I need to find my mate." My fists tightened at my sides as images of what could have been done to Finn flooded my head."While I understand your plight, encroaching onto Black Fang territory is declaring war on them," Marek warned."I don't care. They crossed the line first, and they should be ready for the consequences that come with taking someone who is mine." My wolf flared to the surfac
CHAPTER FORTY-FOUR FINN Heat licked at my skin as I flashed open my eyes. Blood pooled beneath my feet, the ground so sticky I couldn't move my feet. "What's going? Why is there so much blood?!" I mumbled to myself, limbs trembling. A groan from somewhere ahead drew my attention. It was Marek. "S-Save the Alpha, please." He let out hoarsely, his face so badly injured I could only make out bones and muscles. "How did you end up here? What's going—" His head smacked into the ground loudly, the finality in it unmistakable. "Marek!" I yelled out but his body remained unmoving. I pushed to move my feet but I couldn't. "Didn't I tell you I would make you pay?" Yelsa declared, her feet slapping against the blood filled ground. "There is nothing you are going to do." I gritted out just as my eyes fell to what she held in her hand. A scream tore out of me, the sound inhumane. "You are next." She threw aside Xavier's head, drawing a sharp looking blade that had blood
CHAPTER FORTY-THREE FINN"We would leave in two days time, I would alert you once it is time." Felix's last words to me before he left played in my head as I lay down to sleep that night. My chest was filled with so much hope, it felt like it would burst open."What if he had been acting under Alpha Haven's order as some sort of test for me?" I mumbled as I sat up almost immediately, my chest tightening all of a sudden.Well I would hope not. Because having Felix help me escape made the plan as foolproof as possible. At least now the chances of me getting caught would reduce significantly.I wrestled myself to sleep, my thoughts a jumbled mess of hope and fear at been caught. The next morning started with a slowness I had never had since I had left Silver fox. The ray of sunlight streaked on my face had me stirring up from sleep.By tomorrow I would be out of Alpha Haven's pack and heading towards Xavier. My belly tightened even further almost immediately. Not out of fear or anxious
CHAPTER FORTY-TWO FINN"I should have known you would do something like this." Alpha Haven's voice tore through the air as he struck a fist into Oliver's face. With a huff, he tumbled off me. I sucked in a breath of relief, tiny shudders making their way down my spine. From the corner of my eye, I could see Alpha Haven plummeting Oliver into the ground but it felt like I was seeing it from outside of my body."Let's get you out of these." A masculine voice snapped me into my body again, my gaze drifting to the source of the voice. The man, Felix, tore through the bondage I had around my legs and wrists, a pitying look dominant on his face."Thank you." I whispered, voice hoarse from shouting. As we left the room, Alpha Haven didn't stop despite the red pool forming beneath Oliver's body.I looked away, something in me wishing Alpha Haven would kill him off for what he tried to do to me."Meet me behind the pack house after dinner." Felix whispered to me as he shut the door to the roo
