The key members of the Shadow Pack sat around a large conference table. Ty stood while Rose sat at one side of the table’s end near a white board. On the other side of the same end stood Ben, with Julie sitting. They’d been hashing out the plans they’d use, and everyone searched for flaws or holes in the plan. If something went wrong, did they have a plan to circumvent or replace the problem? This wasn’t the first time, though, Ty hoped it would be the last time they needed to do this for a mission. Rose watched the last of the Hollow Wood Pack settle back into their homes. At least, those buildings still stood even if they needed repairs. They would find the time and get things done in the never year or two. She figured in five years, they would have both packs settled, blended, and thriving. Ty and most of the Shadow Pack’s original members met up with the Blue Delia Pack and their alpha, Roger Higgins. Also known as Amber’s father and Ty’s uncle. Heath was in a panic because Amber insisted that even though they’d not mated, that they were. She wouldn’t return to the Blue Dalia Pack Territory. Heath and Ty tried to get her to leave. She, on the other hand, decided she would push for the mating. Heath, on the other hand, feared her father would blame him. Traveling down through the hidden entrance, who would have thought they would hide the entrance as an old crate on a shelf? There must be other entrances in and out of this place, but right now this was the one they used to enter the hidden recesses of the hunter’s ring. Between the guards outside the warehouse, the guards inside were just as thick in number. But nothing several blooded wolf shifters could take care of. As far as Ty knew, currently there were prisoners and no deaths. Death would come later once they were all sorted out by the Ruling Council. At this point, Ty didn’t truly care what happened to these people. He wanted this over for himself and his pack. Surprisingly, when the door closed behind them, flashlights weren’t needed. It took them several days to get through all the debriefing. The Ruling Council insisted on debriefing every member of the Shadow Pack who went on the mission. They came home with an additional six locals who were kidnapped recently. They’d been held against their wills by the members of the hunters’ ring. Ty finally returned to Rose and the Shadow Pack’s territory with everyone in tow. It didn’t take long before family members were at the Shadow Pack Territory gates looking for their loved ones. Ty was pleased that he could return these wolves to their families. It wasn’t perfect; the wolves didn’t come out of it fully unscathed, but they were there. They were there and they would provide assistance. Ty found out while he was at the Ruling Council’s primary facility; the mission to the auction house headquarters yielded a lot more information about the hunter’s ring. They kept alpha Higgins from speaking with the wolf his daughter, Amber, chose as her mate. He knew nothing about him, and that was only the first problem.
