Kyle.

I decided to look into the man I was about to teach a lesson to tonight. When I said I was furious after discovering what he’d done, I meant it. If you could put a word to what I felt after going through his records and the accounts of things he had done that had been swept under the rug, I wouldn’t have hesitated to use it.

Richardson Morrison, 63 years old, male, 5’7”, with a bald head and glaring gold teeth. That’s the information about the man I was going to kill—no, scratch that, warn tonight.

I put on my black gloves, ensured I had everything I needed in the bag beside me, then picked it up and walked out of my house. I headed into the garage and chose my motorcycle for today’s mission; it would be fast and efficient for what I was about to do.

This wouldn’t be my first attempt to kill someone, and I was sure it wouldn’t be the last. Each action I took had its own reason behind it. I turned on the motorcycle and drove out of the garage.

The air was cold and still damp from the rain that had fallen earlier, but that didn’t stop me from venturing out. Nights like this were perfect for killing or even roughing someone up a bit. I couldn’t wait to get this job done. It would be quick; I knew it would be, even though this man held a high position. But being powerful didn’t exempt someone from basic etiquette; just because you have wealth doesn’t mean you should treat others poorly.

After researching him like I do with all of my targets, I found out Hannah wasn’t the only woman he had molested or attempted to molest—on the roadside, at hotels, or even in his office. There were a list of other women who had made claims against him, but with his powerful lawyers, he managed to silence them. Those women lived their lives in darkness and trauma, but that was going to end tonight. I guaranteed he wouldn’t dare touch another woman after what I had planned for him.

I parked my motorcycle outside the restaurant where Richardson was dining and removed my helmet. It didn’t take long for me to notice the four men in suits patrolling the area outside the restaurant. But those bastards wouldn’t stop me.

I waited outside for Richardson. If I wanted to be stealthy, there was no way I was going into that restaurant, where too many people would make it difficult to deal with him. I kept checking the surveillance camera on my phone; it wasn’t hard to connect the restaurant’s cameras to my device. Richardson was still at the table having dinner with his latest girlfriend. My teeth ground together as I waited. He was taking way too long, and I hated waiting.

Thankfully, two hours later, he stepped out of the restaurant looking pleased, with a lady in his arm. Looking at her, I wouldn’t be surprised if she wasn’t even twenty; the bastard.

I patiently watched as they walked to his car, with his security trailing behind. Once they got in and drove off, I started my motorcycle and followed. I pictured how I wanted to hurt this monster, and the adrenaline coursed through my veins. I drove slowly behind them at first, making it difficult for his guards to realize I was tailing them.

I maintained this distance for about a minute before giving up on the plan when they took a turn. Fortunately, the road was quiet and less busy—just what I needed. I sped up my motorcycle and within seconds was riding in front of their car. I pushed forward slightly before reversing rapidly, forcing the car to come to a screeching stop.

Perfect.

I remained seated on my motorcycle, waiting for them to step out. They would have to do that. Five. Four. Three… I lost count as I watched the front door open, and one of his guards stepped out. He paused for a moment, staring at me, before approaching. Hannah's order echoed in my mind, “Just teach him a lesson.” But there was no way I could teach him anything with these people in my way. I didn’t take my eyes off the guard as he came closer until he stood directly in front of me.

I could see him clearly because of my headlight, but I bet he couldn’t see me well.

“Get out of the road,” he barked, inching closer, but I made no attempt to move. If he wanted me out of the way, he’d have to do it himself.

“What the hell is your problem, kid? Get out of the road if you don’t want any trouble.” I remained seated, and it didn’t take long for him to snap into action.

I saw the glint of a silver object before he pulled it out of the little bag beside him. I scoffed.

“Now, are you going to drive your little motorcycle away, or do you want me to do that for you?” he demanded, but I remained silent. I wasn’t in the mood to converse with someone I might end up killing or knocking out.

“Alright, have it your way,” he said, charging at me with the blade raised.

I swung my leg over the motorcycle, and before I knew it, I was on my feet. I grabbed the wrist of the idiot wielding the blade, who thought it would be so easy to take me out, and wrenched it down and across, pulling him off balance. For a huge guy, it was surprisingly easy to do that. I swung my right leg, and my boot connected with his knee. It buckled with a wet pop, causing him to scream, but that was all he could manage before I wrapped my arms around his neck and took him out. He dropped like a piece of paper onto the ground. Pathetic.

I stepped away from him, rolling my neck from side to side as I waited for the other three to come out. I could end this quickly, grab the gun staring me in the face, and shoot every one of these bastards, but no—I wanted to fight.

I craved the thrill and adrenaline of having someone take me on. The door of the second car opened, and three more guards stepped out. This time, they didn’t bother trying to talk to me; they all attacked at once, but I was ready. I blocked every hit, taking them down one by one until I was left with just one man standing.

He let out a loud groan as I bent his right hand backward, and with one swift strike to the side of his neck, he went limp in my grip. I let his body drop to the ground without a second thought and walked over to the car, where the bastard was still slumped inside. I yanked the door open and winced when I was met with the scream of a woman.

Fucking hell!

“I’m not going to kill you,” I said, looking at the lady who seemed too young for a scumbag like this guy. But even with my reassurance, it didn’t stop her from screaming at the top of her lungs.

“Wh-what do you want?” My eyes shifted to the asshole, who looked like he had only moments before passing out. “I will give you anything. Is it money, cars, or houses you want? Just tell me the amount, and I’ll send it to you this instant.” He babbled, and I let out a laugh.

Of course, men like him think they can solve every problem with money.

I grabbed his leg, earning another scream from the lady, and pulled him toward me.

“Please, I-I will give you anything…” The words barely left his mouth before my fist connected with his jaw.

“Shut the fuck up,” I growled. I dragged him out of the first car and pushed him into the second one.

“Not a single word from you,” I warned, watching as he nodded in compliance.

I eyed him one last time before heading back to the first car, where the lady was still trembling and crying.

“You didn’t see or hear anything,” I began, and all she could do was blink at me with wide eyes. “Is that clear?” She bobbed her head up and down, her whole body shaking.

But that wouldn’t do; I needed to hear her say it.

“Say it,” I demanded.

“I—I didn’t hear… see… anything.” I nodded once.

“Do you know how to drive?” I asked, and once again, she shook her head, but under my gaze, she mumbled a little “no.”

Great!

I dipped my hand into my pocket and pulled out wads of cash. Without counting, I dropped it into her hand. “Here, get yourself out of here.” She held the money with trembling hands and stepped out of the car while watching me with wary eyes.

I’m not going to hurt you, I wanted to say, but stopped myself.

She started walking slowly at first, but once she realized I wasn’t going to harm her, she increased her speed.

“Wait,” I called out, surprising both myself and her.

She stopped and slowly turned around, staring at me like I was about to kill her.

“There are plenty of young men out there who would cherish you for who you are. You won’t find that with men like this.” They will use you and discard you as soon as they get what they want.

I didn’t have to say it for her to understand. With a nod, she turned around and left. I didn't move from my spot until she was out of sight.

Now, it was time to teach that bastard a lesson. I walked toward the car and wasn’t shocked to find it empty. I knew the idiot would try to run away, but what he didn’t realize was that no one escapes from me.

Kyle.My target has finally settled in one place after moving around. It was difficult to follow him because I never planned this, but it was easy to locate him since he wasn’t in bed like everyone else. I watched him walk around with two men beside him through my monoculars. I wanted this to be as simple and easy as possible so I could get back to the house before anyone noticed I was gone.I left the house around one o'clock, and the time is now three, which means I have two more hours to wrap this up before everyone starts waking up in the mansion. To achieve a quick and non-taxing job, I have to use a gun—something I absolutely hate doing. I usually prefer to torture my targets, letting them experience the feeling of dying while still being alive, all while explaining to them the reason for their suffering.I relish the fear in their eyes when they realize that no one is coming to save them. I dropped the binoculars and loaded my gun, attaching the silencer before getting into pos

Kyle.I rushed out of the kitchen as if my foot were on fire. I was hard and angry with myself; I couldn’t believe I had just done that. What is wrong with me?Why would I do something like that and then expect her to act like none of it happened? How can I expect her to stay away from me now after what just took place in the kitchen? What I did was impulsive and stupid. I shouldn’t have fallen for that temptation. I knew that seeing her in her nightdress, looking like a temptress, I wouldn’t be able to leave unscathed. She was incredibly tempting, and I was struggling to control myself—not just because I wanted to kiss her and be with her in that moment, but because I wanted her for who she truly is. I don’t know if that makes sense, but that’s the truth of it. I just want to hold her in my arms and show her how much I’ve wanted her, but I can’t do that because I’m a jerk who can’t be seen with her because of my past.I hated overthinking this, and I feared my heart would burst from

Emilia. I couldn’t sleep. I tossed and turned in bed, and no matter how many times I tried closing my eyes or counted to fifty, I remained wide awake. My mind kept replaying the image of Kyle drinking from my glass, using the same spot I had just used before. I can’t even find the words to describe it.Watching him do that while holding my gaze was the hottest thing I had ever seen. I couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to be kissed by him; I imagined his eyes staring into mine the same way they did while he was drinking. No matter what I did, I just couldn’t push that thought from my mind.Letting out a sigh, I glanced at the alarm clock; it was almost midnight, which meant everyone else must have been asleep by now. I threw the bedcover off and got out of bed, not bothering to put on my flip-flops because I didn’t want to make any noise. I pulled the door open and stuck my head out first to make sure no one was in the hallway. Once I was sure the coast was clear, I stepp

Kyle. Who are you? The question echoed in my mind as I was pulled back into the past. I could feel it gripping my heart, forcing me to revisit memories I’d rather forget. Honestly, I didn’t have an answer. I had no idea who I was. Yes, my name is Kyle, and I work for the Rossis, but beyond that, I don’t know who I am. I suppose I could say I am one of them, but I don’t want to associate myself with that name. It wasn’t there when I needed help; it wasn’t there when I needed someone to stand beside me. So, I stared blankly at Luciano, wondering why he was asking me this all of a sudden. We had worked together for years, and now he was questioning my identity? “I don’t know what you’re talking about,” I finally said after a long silence. If there’s one thing I hate, it’s someone reminding me of my past—the failures I’ve experienced. I don’t take that lightly, especially not from someone like him. But starting a fight with Luciano would be foolish. “You heard me right, Kyle,” he sa

Kyle.If I hadn’t admitted that I was a weak man before, I think this is the right time to do so. I was weak, but not because I couldn't fight or take action; I was weak for one person, and that person’s name starts with the letter ‘E.’I haven’t been able to recover from seeing her and having her in my arms, only for her to do this. I couldn’t stop staring at her as she came down the stairs, her steps light and everything in place. She looked absolutely gorgeous, and any man in his right mind would compliment her and let her know just how pretty she was. The dress she wore was top-notch; it only added to my discomfort.I haven’t been able to sit still since she walked down those stairs, the dress clinging to her body like a second skin. She looked like an angel—an angel sent to tempt me and make me reconsider the words I had said to her years ago. I tried to stop looking at her, to not let anyone know I was staring, especially since I was sitting beside kids, but that was an impossib

Emilia.Everything around me faded into the background as I locked eyes with the man I loved. It was hard to believe that he was actually here, in my arms. I held my breath, hoping this wasn't just a dream; I wanted it to be real.We stared at each other as if no one else existed. His beautiful eyes, the ones that always sparkled when he smiled, seemed to see straight through me, and for a moment, I felt exposed. I leaned into him, craving his warmth and the familiar scent that I had missed so much. I had thought I would never experience that comfort again, but here I was, not only in his arms but with my face resting against his chiseled chest.Gosh, he felt so incredibly hot.I blinked rapidly, jolted back to reality by the excited screams of Violeta and Elio behind me. When I looked up at Kyle, my heart sank as I realized he was no longer looking at me; his gaze was directed toward the kids, who were running toward him with joyful cheers.“Are you going to let go of me?” he asked i
