B1: HTM - 5

Before Marcus and Bea woke up, Amelia decided to go. She left a note at her study table for them. She was giving her blessings to them and telling them that she'd be okay and to not find her.

The whole pack was still sleeping and the sky was still dark. Amelia inhaled the morning breeze as she walked outside.

“I’ll be fine,” she whispered. She doesn’t know what will wait for him in the human city. But this was the best. She doesn’t want to cause any harm to their pack.

‘You are crazy, Amelia! You can’t go!’

Amelia sighed. Her wolf–beast had been telling her not to go. Lily was saying that she could sense their second mate was just near. But Amelia’s decision was already firm. She wanted to go.

‘This is the best, Lily. Just support me, please.’

‘But you have me, okay? You are not a human!’

‘But I am a Lycan, and it is still the same.’

Lily growled. ‘Then let’s go find our mate.’

Amelia shook her head. She decided not to answer Lily anymore. She kept on whining in her head. Sometimes she heard her growling and howling inside her like she wanted to go out. But they both don’t know how to do it. And for Amelia, it would be the best because she would live in a human city.

It was already morning when she reached the city. Amelia was amazed to see a lot of buildings in the city. There were cars too. She couldn’t help but smile because she thought she was going to another world. Though, this was not her first time coming here. It was her second time. The first one was when his mother was killed by rogues. That was why she also bowed not to get out of their pack again. It was also the reason why she was labeled weak by her packmates.

‘Now what? Do you know anything here? Because I’m not,’ said Lily. The disappointment was still in her voice.

‘I don’t know either. But let’s try to fit in.’

Lily growled and Amelia giggled. She walked along the side streets and wondered at the signage she was seeing. Everything was new to her. But when she reached a tall building, she suddenly smelled the familiar scent. Amelia sniffed and it trailed on her nostrils. The smell was just faint but she was sure. It was so good to smell like her…

‘Mate!’ Lily screamed in her mind.

“Huh?”

‘Mate! He is here, Amelia! He’s inside!’ Lily said happily.

Amelia stared at the building. It was true. The scent was coming from inside. She took a deep breath and nodded. ‘Fine. Let’s meet him,’ she agreed. Lily howled in her mind and it made Amelia smile. She just met her beast last night but they had already bonded.

Amelia entered the building. It was full of human people. She scanned the place trying to find the traces of her mate. Then she saw a small place where there were humans going in and out. Amelia went there.

‘This door is different,’ Amelia said. ‘I don’t know how to open it.’ She tried knocking on the door but it was not opening. There was no doorknob or such. Suddenly, she felt stupid because she was clueless about the human world. If Bea was here she would learn things for sure.

‘Mate! Don’t leave! He is coming!’

Amelia sniffed. She looked up as to where the scent was coming from. It was like falling from above. Amelia stepped back and waited. The scent was growing stronger until she heard a sound from the door and it opened. There she saw her mate coming out. Amelia opened her mouth and she froze again. He was looking at her as if he knew that she was there. He went out of the elevator and stopped in front of Amelia.

“Mine…” he whispered.

One word and it made Amelia’s world upside down. One word and her heart were like a thousand horses racing on a mountain. But there was something different. This man was looking at her like they had just met. But his eyes looked different.

‘Mine! Mine! Mine!’ Lily said happily.

He smiled at her and stepped forward. “It’s true. You are true.”

Amelia was confused. She doesn’t know what to say. She might not know the name of her mate, but she remembered she had blue eyes. Though, the man in front of her had the same scent and hair color. He still looked like a different person. She stepped backward. The door behind him opened again and a man came out.

‘OMG! What is this?!’ Lily exclaimed.

‘What is going on, Lily? Am I dreaming?’

‘No! Oh, Moon Goddess! You blessed us more!’

“I see you saw our mate.”

Another man stood up in front of Amelia. There she saw two different people but with the same face. She suddenly felt her head spinning and the place was moving. Amelia loses consciousness. But before she falls to the ground, her mates catch her.

Blue laughed. “She might have been startled seeing us.”

Grey shook his head. “You really don’t talk with her, huh?”

“Yes. She ran away from me.”

“Come on. Let’s bring her above.”

Grey carried Amelia as a bride and Blue followed them. Grey and Blue Masson were Lycan Princes. Their names were followed by the color of their eyes. Their kingdom was the one that held all the packs around the country. They managed them and checked the status of every pack, may it be Wolves or Lycans. They were the ones who gave laws for their kind. And mostly, their kingdom was the only one that talked with humans in positions.

The twins were in the city to attend the appointment of the new Alpha of the Wood Mist pack. This pack was the biggest pack and their father, the king, wanted to know if the new alpha was capable.

“Looks like our mate was on the run. Are you sure she came from the Wood Mist pack?” Grey asked. He was checking Amelia’s bag and saw that there were some clothes inside.

Amelia was lying on the bed. Blue was sitting at his side and staring at her. “Yes, she is. I told you she ran there.” He licked his lips and sniffed Amelia. “She really smelled good.”

“There is something wrong going on with our mate. She was trying to kill herself too, you said.” Grey closed the bag and looked at Amelia. But to his surprise, Blue was already sniffing her and touching her hands. “Hey! Stop touching her! Let her rest!”

Blue growled and looked at Grey. “Why? I saw her first.”

“So, what? She is my mate too.”

Twin Lycans or werewolves always have one mate. Especially for the two of them, because their bond as twins was stronger than the others. They knew what each other was feeling. When one of them was hurt, the other one would feel the pain. They can also talk with each other in mind even if they were miles away. Actually, when Blue saw Amelia, Grey felt it and his beast was howling. Yes, even their Lycans had a strong bond with each other.

“Get ready now. I’m sure our mate was hungry when she woke up,” Grey said.

“Fine.” Blue groaned and kissed Amelia’s forehead. “See you later, our mate.”
