Chapter 10: The Past to Where it Started

'I need him? What an utter bull!' Daphne couldn’t help but chuckle while she was inside the cab.

She promised herself that she would never waste her time on Maverick again, even if he tried to persuade her. Even more, she knew that getting back together with him would only worsen the excruciating wounds in her heart.
