The setting sun cast a warm, golden glow over the calm park as Alexander and Samantha faced each other. It was a moment they had both anticipated and dreaded. The weight of their unspoken words and the secrets that had been harbored for so long hung in the air, creating an atmosphere of intense emotion. Elizabeth was on her own end watching them with full attention. "Why aren't they saying anything?" She asked herself.

Alexander cleared his throat, giving a signal that he was about to begin the conversation. "It's been a while, Samantha. How have you been?" Samantha faced another direction, not wanting their eye contact to betray her feelings. "I'm fine as you can see." She responded coldly.

Alexander's voice was filled with a mix of longing and remorse as he gently requested to see the baby. Samantha's eyes, a mirror reflecting a complexity of emotions, held his gaze as she hesitated for a moment. Then, with a sigh, she responded, "I didn't bring her with me today."
