~Aria's POV~

With the mop dragged down the third-floor hallway, I watch soapy water billow on to some of the worn tiles. It's Sunday, which means this miserable school is empty and silent for one day for me. The only day I can finally relax. My name is Aria, and as an Omega, I'm used to being a target. Usually, there would be students in the hallways ready for me. There would be punches waiting for me when the teacher's back is turned, and there would be insults from those who consider themselves above me, thinking of me as a worthless Omega and forcing me to go into the lockers.

Vanessa and her pack of she-wolves make sure to remind me of my station. Their ability to destroy my life is unparalleled. My legs are still numb from where they had slammed into them, my hair is still in a knot from when they had thrown it over their shoulders, and their food is on my head as the others laugh. Thankfully, I don't seem to be troubled by any of that.

Last week Vanessa and three of her friends had cornered me in the girls' bathroom. Spray painted the word inside my locker, and as a result, they had forced me to say it out loud while on my knees. I had squinted my eyes as I tried to stow away the tears. I grumbled the word USELESS.

"Louder!" Vanessa demanded as she shoved me against my locker. I flinched and responded louder. "USELESS," I said

"That's what you are," she replied as she pulled my hair back. She muttered to my ear, "Oh my God, what are you up to?" I kept my eyes on the floor as I gave no response. There was no point in arguing; it would only make it worse. That time as well, the school was empty. My mop wasn't ringing down the hallway but sliding down the floor. Now I could finally relax and enjoy the freedom that came with being alone. I will see Adrian tomorrow, and his presence seems to me as a sign of some kind

The eldest son of the Delta pack is, unlike the others, always good to me. He treats me how I want to be treated. He always smiles when he sees me, and whenever Vanessa and her pack are too cruel, it is Adrian who stands up for me. Yesterday, as I sat in the library, he told me how it was.

"Aria," he whispered, "I think I have feelings for you...and I have been thinking about this for weeks."

I stared at him

"I genuinely like you. What I want is for us to be together." He made it clear to me. He leaned closer to me. What he wants is for me to be his girlfriend

I pulled my hand away gently. "I'm sorry, Adrian. I'm waiting for my mate."

I thought perhaps he would be mad at me. Instead, he smiled sadly and nodded

He said, "I understand because this mate connection is real and I respect that. In any case, whether you are one of them or not, I will always be there for you. I want to protect you."

I nodded and smiled

"Dinner? Next week?" He asked as he stood up. "Only for dinner. Nothing specific."

It was the first time someone had asked me to do something because they wanted to spend time with me…so I agreed.

There's a smile as I wipe the floor trying to get the stubborn stain off. It doesn't work. This is the first time I met someone who made me feel special. I think there is a possibility that maybe I could be considered valuable.

Perhaps my status as an Omega is not as set in stone as I thought. More than anything- something feels different inside me. That sense of loneliness is gone, and something else has taken its place. Warmth, perhaps?

Suddenly the ground begins to tremble beneath my feet.

Moaning!!

The mop rubbing against the bucket, I froze. One of the classrooms emits a sound as it goes down the hallway. The sound of a particular kind of motion with a particular kind of breathing makes my skin sweaty.

Someone is having sex.

"I should go now," I thought as I clenched the mop.

Need to return and clean somewhere else. But something about that voice...

I find myself drawn to the sound, my heart racing. By opening the door, I can see right into it. And my whole world explodes.

Adrian???

He is on a desk, his pants over his ankles, a white glove on his arm, and Vanessa is under him, holding the desk.

Her head thrown back, her mouth open in pleasure. "Faster, Adrian. I'm almost there."

His lips found hers in an eager kiss, sucking the tip of her tongue while she moaned his name, Adrian.

I was disgusted with him.

His thumb caressed her cheek while he continued to enter her, pumping in and out of her while he held her waist, lifting and lowering his body against her. He leaned forward and kissed her neck while her hands gripped his biceps while he continued to drive into her. He slid in and out of her, his whole body focused on hers.

I kept on watching them from afar. Their bodies twisted with each other. He was panting heavily and returned to her mouth and kissed her with full force and passion.

I watched him fondling her while he pounded into her. Her hands reached up his chest and caressed his shoulders.

"Fuck....! Ohhhh.... Adrian....." she breathed and her body tightened in pleasure as she cried out, "Yes, please!!! Ohh! I love it....yes!!" she exclaimed.

"Ohhh! That feels so good!! So good!!!" she exclaimed, her body shaking uncontrollably. He continued to pound inside her. His hands held tightly on her breasts and rubbed and squeezed them while he kissed her furiously on the lips and bit her slightly, making her moan even louder.

His movements slowed until he was completely still, taking in the moment. He slid one arm from around her shoulder to zip up his trousers.

He kissed her gently as she straightened her clothes and lit his cigarette.

I couldn't help but cry seeing them like that. My feet are glued to the floor. I can't seem to move. My hands tremble at my sides as panic sets in.

I've prayed before the Moon Goddess, hands clasped, whispering my plea, begging her to make Adrian my mate.

She made me watch him fuck the one girl in the whole world that I could never stand to be around.

I want to scream. To curse the Moon Goddess and tear the temple down around me

But I can't. My feet are tied to the floor as if the floor itself would swallow me whole if I so much as twitch.

  • The Runaway Omega Bride   Chapter 10: Aria Left The Pack-house

[Kieran's POV]"Aria..."The name slipped from my lips before I could stop it. For a heartbeat, the entire celebration disappeared—the laughter of the nobles, the music, the applause. Everything faded into silence. There she was. Standing quietly among dozens of Omega servants near the banquet tables, holding a silver tray filled with crystal glasses. She wore the same plain gray uniform as everyone else, her long chocolate-brown hair tied neatly behind her neck. But it was her eyes that made my heart stop. Green. Bright emerald green. I would recognize those eyes anywhere.Five years had passed since I had last seen her, yet I still remembered the little girl who used to carry books almost bigger than herself through the academy library. The girl who refused to quit solving difficult equations no matter how many times she failed. The girl who always smiled shyly whenever I praised her. She had grown up. She was beautiful. Yet there wasn't a smile on her face anymore. She looked exhau

  • The Runaway Omega Bride   Chapter 9: Can't Take My Eyes Away From Her

~Kieran's POV~The sound of ceremonial horns echoed through the mountains long before I saw the gates of the Silver Crescent Pack territory.I had just climbed up a ridge when my horse began to slow. The sight of my old forest was nearly overwhelming. It really hadn't changed at all.Only this time...It had been five long years since I left to train under Grand Wizard Orion.Five years of battles... of sleepless nights... of impossible tasks and endless quests. And now, after all of that, I had returned home.Behind me, nearly fifty warriors rode in formation, all of them dressed in the silver and blue coats of the Silver Crescent Pack. Several cars carrying the visiting nobles followed right behind them, led by a group of guards. As soon as we reached the gates, the wolf lords and ladies who had come out to greet me cheered."Alpha Heir Kieran!""Welcome home!""Our future Alpha!"They all waved the blue banners with silver wolves embroidered on them.Children ran up to us, throwing

  • The Runaway Omega Bride   Chapter 8: The Celebration Was About To Begin

~Aria's POV~Before dawn had even broken, the Silver Crescent Pack was already up.The Alpha House was a flurry of activity as servants hurried back and forth, preparing for the Alpha Heir's Welcome Celebration. The sound of footsteps echoed up and down the long corridors, the chatter of orderlies, the swish of drapes being drawn aside by attendants, and the constant drone of supervisors giving orders filled the house and its courtyard. This was the day when the last preparations were being made for Alpha Heir Kieran's Welcome Celebration. All members of the pack had been ordered to report to the Alpha House for extra duties. Even the morning practice of the warriors had been halted so that they could lend a hand in decorating the house and providing extra security.Tomorrow, visiting Alphas, Betas, and other dignitaries from neighboring packs would be arriving for the event.Mother looked as if she hadn't gotten a wink of sleep. As I was dressing, she peered anxiously over my shoulde

I clench my teeth, determined not to make a sound.I don't last.A cry escapes before I can stop it.By the third strike, tears are streaming down my face behind the gag. • The Runaway Omega Bride   Chapter 6: Ten Lashes, Begin

~Aria's POV~The afternoon sun bathed the courtyard in golden light. It should have felt welcoming. Peaceful. Instead, the bright open space felt like a place where sentences were carried out. Nora dragged me into the middle of the yard and stopped beside a thick wooden post. The weathered wood was scarred with countless marks, darkened by years of use. A chill crept through me."Take off your shirt," Nora ordered. My eyes widened. "What? No...""You can remove it yourself," she said coldly. "Or I'll have the male Omegas strip it off for you."The threat stole every word from my mouth. Heat rushed to my face. Humiliation washed over me as I slowly pulled my worn shirt over my head with trembling hands, leaving only my faded bra to cover me.The cool breeze brushed against my bare skin, making me shiver."Marcus!" Nora called sharply. "Bring the whip."A middle-aged Omega stepped forward. His face was expressionless, but there was sadness hidden in his eyes. In his hands rested a silve

  • The Runaway Omega Bride   Chapter 5: Mercy For My Daughter

~Aria's POV~Going to another pack would be too risky. We would be strangers and outsiders there; at best, we would have been unwanted. At worst, they would have killed us, believing us to be spies. Mother had already sacrificed enough. She had hidden away all the money we saved up so not to arouse any suspicion. I doubt she would wish to risk her life again. Not that I could blame her.So, we would have gone to the human city. I would have finished off my studies and found a job somewhere else. I would have started anew and forgotten all about our old lives.I pushed the thoughts from my mind and focused on the present matter. There were still four more days, after all.By the time I had finished washing the last dress, the sun had already begun to rise. Light beams poured through the leaves overhead, sending shadowy shapes dancing across the forest. My fingers were numb, and my back ached, but every single dress was clean.I stacked them on top of each other and threw them, along wi
