~Aria's POV~

The silver whip cut through the air with a sharp, terrifying crack, and I felt a sharp pain in my back.

Nothing exists except pain.

It crashes over me in relentless waves, swallowing every thought, every breath.

Silver is poison to werewolves. Even those of us who haven't awakened our wolves yet feel its cruelty. It scorches like molten metal poured onto bare skin, burning through flesh until every nerve feels as though it's being ripped apart.

The first whip slices through my clot

  • The Runaway Omega Bride   Chapter 10: Aria Left The Pack-house

[Kieran's POV]"Aria..."The name slipped from my lips before I could stop it. For a heartbeat, the entire celebration disappeared—the laughter of the nobles, the music, the applause. Everything faded into silence. There she was. Standing quietly among dozens of Omega servants near the banquet tables, holding a silver tray filled with crystal glasses. She wore the same plain gray uniform as everyone else, her long chocolate-brown hair tied neatly behind her neck. But it was her eyes that made my heart stop. Green. Bright emerald green. I would recognize those eyes anywhere.Five years had passed since I had last seen her, yet I still remembered the little girl who used to carry books almost bigger than herself through the academy library. The girl who refused to quit solving difficult equations no matter how many times she failed. The girl who always smiled shyly whenever I praised her. She had grown up. She was beautiful. Yet there wasn't a smile on her face anymore. She looked exhau

  • The Runaway Omega Bride   Chapter 9: Can't Take My Eyes Away From Her

~Kieran's POV~The sound of ceremonial horns echoed through the mountains long before I saw the gates of the Silver Crescent Pack territory.I had just climbed up a ridge when my horse began to slow. The sight of my old forest was nearly overwhelming. It really hadn't changed at all.Only this time...It had been five long years since I left to train under Grand Wizard Orion.Five years of battles... of sleepless nights... of impossible tasks and endless quests. And now, after all of that, I had returned home.Behind me, nearly fifty warriors rode in formation, all of them dressed in the silver and blue coats of the Silver Crescent Pack. Several cars carrying the visiting nobles followed right behind them, led by a group of guards. As soon as we reached the gates, the wolf lords and ladies who had come out to greet me cheered."Alpha Heir Kieran!""Welcome home!""Our future Alpha!"They all waved the blue banners with silver wolves embroidered on them.Children ran up to us, throwing

  • The Runaway Omega Bride   Chapter 8: The Celebration Was About To Begin

~Aria's POV~Before dawn had even broken, the Silver Crescent Pack was already up.The Alpha House was a flurry of activity as servants hurried back and forth, preparing for the Alpha Heir's Welcome Celebration. The sound of footsteps echoed up and down the long corridors, the chatter of orderlies, the swish of drapes being drawn aside by attendants, and the constant drone of supervisors giving orders filled the house and its courtyard. This was the day when the last preparations were being made for Alpha Heir Kieran's Welcome Celebration. All members of the pack had been ordered to report to the Alpha House for extra duties. Even the morning practice of the warriors had been halted so that they could lend a hand in decorating the house and providing extra security.Tomorrow, visiting Alphas, Betas, and other dignitaries from neighboring packs would be arriving for the event.Mother looked as if she hadn't gotten a wink of sleep. As I was dressing, she peered anxiously over my shoulde

Even those of us who haven't awakened our wolves yet feel its cruelty. It scorches like molten metal poured onto bare skin, burning through flesh until every nerve feels as though it's being ripped apart. The first whip slices through my clothes and tears into my back. I clench my teeth, determined not to make a sound.I don't last.A cry escapes before I can stop it.By the third strike, tears are streaming down my face behind the gag. By the fifth, black spots dance across my vision. By the seventh, my entire world has become endless agony.Somewhere in the distance, I hear Mother's voice. She is screaming.Pleading. Begging them to stop. Then Luna Serena speaks, her voice gentle, almost soothing."This is for your own good, child

  • The Runaway Omega Bride   Chapter 6: Ten Lashes, Begin

~Aria's POV~The afternoon sun bathed the courtyard in golden light. It should have felt welcoming. Peaceful. Instead, the bright open space felt like a place where sentences were carried out. Nora dragged me into the middle of the yard and stopped beside a thick wooden post. The weathered wood was scarred with countless marks, darkened by years of use. A chill crept through me."Take off your shirt," Nora ordered. My eyes widened. "What? No...""You can remove it yourself," she said coldly. "Or I'll have the male Omegas strip it off for you."The threat stole every word from my mouth. Heat rushed to my face. Humiliation washed over me as I slowly pulled my worn shirt over my head with trembling hands, leaving only my faded bra to cover me.The cool breeze brushed against my bare skin, making me shiver."Marcus!" Nora called sharply. "Bring the whip."A middle-aged Omega stepped forward. His face was expressionless, but there was sadness hidden in his eyes. In his hands rested a silve

  • The Runaway Omega Bride   Chapter 5: Mercy For My Daughter

~Aria's POV~Going to another pack would be too risky. We would be strangers and outsiders there; at best, we would have been unwanted. At worst, they would have killed us, believing us to be spies. Mother had already sacrificed enough. She had hidden away all the money we saved up so not to arouse any suspicion. I doubt she would wish to risk her life again. Not that I could blame her.So, we would have gone to the human city. I would have finished off my studies and found a job somewhere else. I would have started anew and forgotten all about our old lives.I pushed the thoughts from my mind and focused on the present matter. There were still four more days, after all.By the time I had finished washing the last dress, the sun had already begun to rise. Light beams poured through the leaves overhead, sending shadowy shapes dancing across the forest. My fingers were numb, and my back ached, but every single dress was clean.I stacked them on top of each other and threw them, along wi
