~Aria's POV~

The afternoon sun bathed the courtyard in golden light. It should have felt welcoming. Peaceful. Instead, the bright open space felt like a place where sentences were carried out. Nora dragged me into the middle of the yard and stopped beside a thick wooden post. The weathered wood was scarred with countless marks, darkened by years of use. A chill crept through me.

  • The Runaway Omega Bride   The Hand On My Chest

~Aria's POV~Something grabbed my soulNot my body, nor heart. My soul. I heard my soul screaming as my chest tightened with unbearable pain."ARIA!"Adrian's voice echoed in my ears before everything faded to white.Nothing.Not the gate. No children. Adrian. Nothing.I woke up in white surrounded by my bare feet. A white dress covered my body. The sky stretched endlessly, yet my ground was endless.I spun around "Adrian?"Nothing."Lyra?" Silence followed. "Mother?"A distant thudding sound grew louder from behindI turned to see my father. Not the big-bellied man from the gate, but human. He looked almost identical to me, only he was older. His silver hair flowed past his shoulders, and his black eyes shone through the masses of white. He smiled as he approached me "You finally came to me."I stepped back "You took my soul""No," he said, raising his hand. The world around me shifted until I was in a palace made entirely of silver. Little children ran amok in the palace, their laug

  • The Runaway Omega Bride   But It Was Too Late

~Aria's POV~"Daughter."That word echoed throughout the realm.I couldn't move as the Gate opened a little wider, and a sight of something blocked my vision. What was blocking my vision was in the form of an immense figure. But it wasn't a figure, not really. Because there wasn't a mass of flesh and bone. Just an immense shadow encased in an endless amount of silver light. Then the eyes appeared, vast beyond comprehension on either side of it, older than the Gate and focused on me."Aria".My mother held one of my hands tightly. "Don't answer him."I looked at her. "You know him."She didn't respond."Mother."Tears filled her eyes. "Yes.""Who is he?"She responded with a whisper, "Your father".The realm fell silent.Adrian stepped in front of me. "Stay behind me."My father laughed. The sound of it reverberating within the mass of the Gate. "Protecting her still?"Adrian's spine stiffened. "You know me?""I know every Soul," the vast eyes turned to him, "I created the first."Adri

  • The Runaway Omega Bride   I Saw Him

~Aria's POV~I was the one holding the weaponHis fingers were wrapped around the silver hilt while the blade was black, not dark silver or shadow, but black as if the light itself refused to touch it.And beneath my feet was the first world.A world filled with silver forests and silver rivers plus thousands upon thousands of cities and millions upon millions of people. My childrenAll of them were looking towards meI couldn't breathe "No!"The memory continuedI was standing at the centre of the world and behind me was the First Origin while next to me was the first Soul, Adrian, but he was different, he was smiling. He wasn't scared, he wasn't fighting, he was helping me.I turned to face him "Are you sure?"He nodded "If you don't do it, they will.""Everyone?""Everyone."My fingers tightened around the weapon "Even the children?"His eyes tore away from mine to look towards the children "Especially the children."I looked at him "Why?"He took a step forward "Because something

~Aria's POV~"I remember who killed me."The words echoed throughout the chamber.I looked at Adrian, no, not Adrian, his silver eyes seemed to hold centuries of life, centuries of Soul. The Soul inside him had awakened, and somehow, it recognized me."Who killed you?" I asked.Adrian's eyes darkened with mischief. "You did."I felt my heart stop in my chest. "I didn't kill you!""You did!""NO!"You watched me die."I held you as your Soul escaped your vessel."I gasped. "I don't remember that.""That is because you made me forget it."The Gate behind Adrian brightened and images flooded out of it. A battlefield, a silver palace, thousands upon thousands of bodies littering the ground. In the midst of it all, I saw myself. Not the modern Aria, but an ancient version. Kneeling beside the first Adrian. His body was soaked in blood, his silver eyes clouding over. I was screaming, "NO!"The images continued, the ancient Aria cradled his face. "I'm sorry."Adrian smiled. "You always say tha

~Aria's POV~The First Origin was fleeing.I had never seen him afraid. Not when the Gate had opened. Not when the worlds had collapsed. Not even when I remembered who I was.But now... Now he was terrified."Mother," Elysia whispered.I looked up at the enormous silver eye beneath us. "What did I create?"Elysia shook her head. "You didn't create it."I stared at her. "You just said I did.""I said you created what is inside it."My stomach twisted. "What is inside it?"Elysia looked towards the First Origin. "Him."The First Origin stopped. Slowly he turned around. "No."The enormous eye opened wider. "FIRST ORIGIN."The First Origin fell to his knees.I felt Adrian's fingers tighten around mine. "What is happening?""YOU HAVE FAILED."The First Origin bowed his head. "I tried to contain her.""HER?"The entire realm trembled. "YOU MEAN MY CREATOR?"My breath hitched.Adrian looked at me. "Your creator?"The First Origin slowly raised his head. "Not yours." His eyes flickered with h
