The light of dawn seeped into the hotel room and it shone on a porcelain skin, Lyra Hart’s body lay stark naked on the bed, stirring her from her sleep.

She rubbed her sleepy eyes as the morning sunlight reflected on her face and struggled to check out her environment.

“A comfy bed… painted wall. My hotel room,” Lyra muttered to herself. She stood to her feet, moving her tired and sore body.

Lyra wrapped the curtains to cover the disturbing light and opened the windows, causing a gentle breeze to waft over her naked body and that was when she realized…

“OH MY GOSH!” She shouted, covering her bare chest area with her hands.

Within seconds, Lyra took a quick run to the bed for a cover. She wrapped herself with the bed cover, her never-ceasing stare properly scanning her environment.

Lyra was in a hotel room but why was she naked?

“Did I-?” Lyra swallowed a lump in her throat, her eyes fixed on the bright red stain on the bed. A man's suit and pants were next to her, uncovering what had happened overnight.

“Gosh, What have you done?” She exclaimed, disappointed and ashamed of her actions. She ran her hand through her messy hair, trying to recall how she ended up with a man.

Immediately, Lyra remembered gulping alcoholic drinks at her birthday party and dancing wildly to the loud music that was playing.

”How did I get myself into this mess?” She sobbed inwardly.

Her ear rang at the whistling sounds that leaked from the bathroom. The whistles died down and a masculine voice sang a song with shocking lyrics.

Clenching onto the cover with her eyes widening, Lyra pictured how she would deal with the stranger in the bathroom for taking advantage of her in a drunken state.

Creak.

The bathroom door opened, snapping Lyra out of her wild imagination. She looked at the door and her eyes finally fell on the stranger walking leisurely out of the bathroom with no apprstandable aim.

Her eyes were fixed on the tough, muscular man. His waist was wrapped with a white towel and his broad muscular chest made her drool.

Lyra had spent the night with a handsome man whom she had never seen before. Actuality hits her as soon as she assumes that he has taken advantage of her.

Breaking out of her imagination and thoughts, Lyra yelled, “You pervert! You took advantage of my drunken state.”

Meanwhile, the man continued to walk away without taking a glimpse at her. His actions made her so angry that she couldn't hold it in anymore.

She angrily gripped an object nearby and she threw it at him. The objects appeared to be pillows.

Lyra hasn't allowed her fiance to touch her, she assumed that she would have her first night with her fiance on their wedding night. But now, she lost her innocence to a stranger.

“You perv. How dare you?” She screamed in tears, throwing another pillow at him. This time, the pillow nearly hit him and he was quick to grab it in the air.

“Pervert?” The stranger, Harrison Monroe sneered at her for a moment, before he continued his statement, “What a great performance! You seduced me and now you are trying to accuse me? You should be grateful that I let you warm my bed. Do you know how many ladies are dying to be in that position?”

After listening to his hurtful words, Lyra swayed her hands on her face for a moment, trying to hide her tears. She mourned what she lost overnight.

“You bloody liar! I would never seduce a mysterious man, I'm engaged,” she sobbed, raising her finger which had a diamond ring in it.

“See this? I’m engaged. And I will make sure you get arrested for this!” She exclaimed, swaying her hands on the bed in search of her phone.

Harrison moved toward her with a smirk playing on his lips.

“I'm not to be blamed for having an undeniable level of attractiveness, which made you seduce me. You know, you are the one to be arrested for harassment,” He said tartly, giving her a scornful look.

He moved back, plucking the new outfit that he ordered a few minutes ago.

“How dare you say that to me? You should apologize to me,” Lyra's lips quivered.

“I was drunk, gal. I'm so disappointed that I made love with a nobody," Harrison puts on his suit, leaning forward. Lyra held her breath, her wide eyes looking into Harrison's brown eyes which were a few inches away from her.

“You are nothing compared to the ladies I love in my bed. I expected you to be at my feet asking for forgiveness, Chipmunk. What a WASTED time,” Harrison scoffed, moving back. He puts on his pants, his expression icy and cold.

Harrison wasn't moved by the tears flowing from her eyes, “I don't want to have anything to do with a nobody.” His mood became icier and he threw money on her to satisfy his ego.

His words caught her by surprise, Lyra expected an apology but got insulted for her poor background.

“That's all you have to say, huh? ” Lyra uttered with a frown, accepting her mistake.

These adults were both at fault.

Lyra had always wanted to do this but not with a stranger. She took a look at the disgusting being one more time.

“Don't give me that look, I paid for your worthless service, though,” he said, buttoning his shirt.

Lyra's puffy eyes and tear-streaked face awaken a strange feeling in him. For the first time, a lady's ocean eyes awaken Harrison's sympathy.

He shifted his eyes to his suit with a forced frown - clueless of whatever was wrong with him.

Harrison's hurtful words deeply stabbed her heart, she couldn't believe he called her names. “He thinks he has it all, huh?” she thought, putting the money Harrison sprayed on her together.

Lyra needed the money, she wished she could pocket it but her respect took the best of her.

Lyra moved her angry stare at him, wiping her tears. Looking straight into his eyes, she didn't hesitate to fling the money at Harrison's face. The money sprayed on Harrison's scrunched face that he couldn't dodge.

“Get yourself a better attitude,” Lyra spat, she hastily put on her outfit with her head held up high. She was glad that her outfit wasn't stained and her phone was in her pocket.

“Keep your advice to yourself, Chipmunk," Harrison shouted, watching Lyra walk out of the room door with more confidence.

Lyra took in deep breath, walking away with her shoulders held up high. “I don't want anything to do with you either,” Lyra said, wiping her tears.

Lyra was sure that her voice was audible to Harrison, she doesn't give a damn when it comes to her self-respect. She walked out of the hotel with a smile, trying to hide her pain.

The sun smiled at her but she shrank back in deep thoughts. “I wouldn't have thrown a birthday party if I knew this would happen,” she exhaled, wishing she had predicted the future.

Lyra has to move on, she has to forget about everything that happened with Harrison Besides, she's an adult, twenty-six years old.

She believed she was at fault for getting drunk the other night and giving him a chance to take advantage of her.

The short step Lyra took felt like several miles, her legs trembled and ached badly. Lyra leaned against a wall, her tired eyes browsing for her fiance's contact on her cell phone.

“Hello, please come and give me a lift home,” Lyra whimpered.

At the other end was Liam Ashford, her fiance. He stood quiet for a minute with his eyebrows raised.

“Nah! I can't. I'm too busy for that shit. You can easily take a cab home. You need to think for yourself, occasionally,” he snapped and hung up on her to proceed with his romantic moment.

The audible moans his mistress let him throw his cell phone to the other side of the bed. His kiss deepened on her skin and he continued thrusting into her.

“Was that Lyra over the phone?” The lady in his bed said, in a seductive breathless voice, she's Diana Coker.

A multi-billionaire's heir and also Lyra's best friend. Diana has been having an affair with Liam for years, underneath Lyra's nose.

Liam nodded to affirm and a smile spread across Diana's face. “Foolish Lyra," Diana mocked.

(Location) Beside the hotel…

Lyra's posture was drooping, she felt guilty about the nightstand she had with a stranger. She wished to discuss it with Liam, her fiance but was scared that he might call off the wedding.

Lyra slowly sat on the ground wondering what made Liam respond in that manner.

Her head ached badly as she tried to figure out why Liam responded in that manner. “Is he aware that I cheated?” she wondered.

“He's probably having a bad day at work, ”Lyra concluded, trying to clearer disturbed thoughts.
