Chapter 7

Eero's perspective

I was then taken out of the dungeon by several omegas for a bath, which I refused to have. But being held by those she-wolves, I couldn't fight back.

"I didn't know you're hiding these curves underneath your horrid clothing," Luna Vera commented. For the first time, she was delighted to see me.

I could even see how proud she was for how I turned out looking this fine after she made me wear this lacy white silk dress.

"If you want to make me proud of you, then do this wholeheartedly, Eero. You'll make no fuss and leave with them obediently, as if you're doing this according to your will." She whispered to my ears softly, as if attempting to enchant me to buy her evil plan.

Just as I was about to open my mouth and say something, a sob escaped my lips.

"No-uh. I don't want to hear any more of your crying, Eero." Luna Vera pressed her forefinger against my lips quickly. "You won't be so selfish to see the cruel Alpha burn our pack down, right? Do you want Alpha Claudius to kill your father and every shifter in Moon River?"

My head shook involuntarily at her questions. It was no secret that I sometimes questioned whether Alpha Ameo loved me. But I knew I wouldn't just stand by if I could do something to prevent him from getting killed.

"That's what I thought, my good girl." Luna Vera kissed my cheeks before she walked out of the door. As soon as it closed, tears dropped along my face.

Not long after, the door was pushed open once again. I was surprised to see Cohen stepping in anxiously.

"Y-You look different, Eero. I didn't know you could be this beautiful!" Cohen exclaimed as his eyes landed on me, his gaze lingering. Obviously, he got stunned by how I looked now.

Ignoring those compliments, I walked towards him slowly.

"I'm glad that you're here. I know I was right. You're still my mate. At the back of your heart, you still care for me."

"I'm here to take you away, Eero. You can't be Claudius' breeder," Cohen reached out his hand for me. For the first time today, I found myself agreeing with him.

"You're right. I can't do this. Being an Alpha's breeder means being his sex slave. I don't think I can do that," I hesiated while looking at Cohen's hand. Swallowing a lump in my throat, I decided to take his hand in the end.

"But if I ran away, Alpha Claudius would start a bloody fight against Moon River. He would wipe up my pack." I withdrew my hand immediately, even when it was just one inch away from Cohen's.

But Cohen grabbed my retracting hand in time.

"Trust me, Eero. We can beat Claudius as long as my pack joins force with yours. I won't let Claudius make you his breeder, nor kill anyone in this pack."

Cohen intertwined his fingers with mine.

Just as we turned to the door and were about to escape, the door was kicked open. Stormed in the fuming Serra. She pulled Cohen away from me instantly. Then a sharp slap landed on my cheeks.

"I know you're up to no good, Eero. How could you be so selfish to choose to run away when you already know the consequence of violating Alpha Claudius' wish?! You could put Cohen in extreme danger!"

"Serra." Cohen reached out for Serra, trying to calm her down, but only earned a glare from her. It was fierce enough to make my mate shut his lips.

"You're coming down with me! Let her leave with Alpha Claudius. Stop acting like a fool unless you want to get beheaded by two Alphas for being a traitor!" She spat before dragging Cohen out of the room.

Another thirty minutes went by before I was called by Alpha Ameo. He escorted me from the room to the great hall personally. Alpha Claudius was waiting for me there.

"It's clear that you'll cause us no trouble, right?" Luna Vera, who was standing on my other side, asked.

"Yes." With the last hope of escaping gone, I was left with no choice but to nod my head.

"Good. Good luck to you. Alpha Claudius is the one with gray and brown eyes," she whispered.

I felt like I could tell Alpha Claudius even if she hadn't told me which one was him.

His aura oozed power and authority. Everyone in the hall looked weaker compared to him. My father was just a nobody in front of him.

Luna Vera gave me a subtle nudge towards Alpha Claudius, which almost tripped me off. Luckily, he caught me in time.

I pulled away from him immediately when I felt him sniff my scent.

"Is she the one that your pack offers to be my breeder, Alpha Ameo?" He asked.

"Yes, Alpha King. Is she to your liking?" My father asked humbly while I looked down, as I didn't dare to stare back at him. His gaze was just burning!

"You're right. She looks so innocent and pure. I'd like to strike this deal as long as she is still a virgin." Alpha Claudius said in a good mood.

"She is not!" Serra, who burst out in anger, shouted. The next thing she did caught everyone off-guard.

She was untying the string of my dress rudely! It revealed the marks and hickeys that Trevor left all over my chest!!
