Chapter 8

Eero's perspective

Utter shock was an understatement of the way that everyone looked at me. I bit my lower lip and didn't dare to look up to Alpha Claudius.

“What's this supposed to mean, Alpha Ameo? Do you mean to insult Alpha Claudius and Blood Moon?" The man next to Alpha Claudius asked. He must be Alpha Claudius' beta and right-hand man, given his reaction and the pinned-up crest on his chest.

“Beta Caspian. I-I don't know where she got those marks. But I know clearly that my daughter Eero, is still a virgin, just as I promised!” Alpha Ameo said, stuttering.

Claudius, the said cruel Alpha, remained silent while his beta did all the questioning. But I could feel him staring at me, his eyes never leaving me.

“Then explain the marks.” The beta sounded cold and fire-eating.

“I really don't know, Beta. Those are probably insect bites she got from her patrolling duties.” My father Alpha Ameo continued to lie even when it was crystal clear that the beta in front of him would never buy
