Chapter 09

Penny was sleeping when her phone started ringing violently. She leapt out of her bed to shut down the annoying device but the caller ID made her pause.

Killian King?

When did he save his contact on my phone?

“Hello?” She gingerly put the phone to her ear.

“It’s Monday.” His deep voice came on.

Penny blinked unable to connect the dots.

Killian was quiet for a couple of seconds, “Don’t tell me you forgot about the appointment.”

She rushed over to the bathroom with the phone in between her ear and shoulder. “No. Not at all.”

“Tell me where you live. I will send my driver to get you.” Killian demanded.

She was pressing some toothpaste on her brush. “I will meet you at the hospital. Just tell me where.”

Seeing that she would be stubborn, he gave her the address of the hospital. She stiffened at the address.

That is the same hospital my brother was admitted.

That posed some major problem for her. She proceeded to shower in lightning speed and threw on a big shirt with a pair of cargo pant
