Chapter 129- Motherhood

“How long have you know?” She asked quietly with her gaze fixated on his chest.

“A little over a month.” He answered, hoping to catch her gaze to express how remorseful he felt.

She gave a nod.

Two hours passed and Penelope hadn’t uttered a word. All she did was go into her room and slammed the door hard, shaking the entire condo.

Bryan never relented on his murderous stares. “How could you hide something like this from her?” He pushed aside the inner voice in his head that called him out as a hypocrite.

“It is far too complicated.” He spoke dryly.

“Not really. You intended to hide it from her all along.” He countered.

Killian let out a sigh. “Don’t have time for this. I just want them back.” He retorted impatiently. His phone rang.

“You found her?” He asked as soon as he confirmed that it was Freddy calling.

“Yes… I believe she is on the road. It is best for the police to handle this.” Freddy advised. He never liked Bethany but he had no idea how deranged she was to kidnap babies.
