CHAPTER FORTY-FOUR

Snaking his arm over her seat, Liam reached in with his other hand to unbuckle her seat belt. “You do know that you will have to get out at some point,” she reminded her with a heavenly smile across his face.

“I know,” she mumbled. “This is on you and Clyde.”

Liam chuckled, getting out of the car. Emma took a second to fix her hair and rumpled top. Before she reached the door, Liam had opened it for her, creating a magnet for more attention.

She nonchalantly got out, avoiding eye contact. In a hurry, she went to her unit with Liam walking closely behind her. She heard whispering in every corner she crossed. If the ground could open, she would have willingly buried herself due to shyness.

“Nice of you to get your butt here,” Allen acknowledged, throwing a surprising glance at Liam. He examined him from hair to toe, smirking. “Could he be the reason for this Nonchalance, Miss Watson? He’s quite a catch, I must say.”
