Violet’s POV

“I absolutely did not kill him,” I said, slowly, and firmly, every syllable laced with exhausted defiance. “He blew up on his own. Like a freaking balloon. Spontaneous human combustion. No spark. No chant. No dramatic spell. No nothing. So can someone please explain why I’m standing here like I’m on trial for inventing a new war crime?”

I stood in the center of a circular obsidian chamber with no windows and too many eyes. The walls were high and smooth, shadows creeping at the corners. At the far end sat five people in towering, thronelike seats arranged like a semi-circle. Cold, detached like they were here to judge a science experiment instead of a half-dead teenager covered in exploded Zyron juice.

Captain Kian. Assistant Captain Rowan. Morgana. And two other people who, for the life of me, I couldn’t recognize but radiated the kind of ancient authority that made my stomach twist. One of them looked like he hadn’t blinked in a century and the other had a pen floating

Violet’s POVBefore the whip could land on me, it stopped mid-air, frozen like someone had pressed pause on reality. The air around it shimmered faintly, silver sparks trembling in place as if time itself had been shackled. The woman holding it blinked in confusion, her perfect lips parting as her eyes widened in disbelief.“You dare to stop my whip?” she snapped, her voice shaking with outrage. “Do you have any idea who I am? I am your senior in every aspect, and you... you think you can interfere?”I cocked an eyebrow, more confused than impressed. “Oh please, I didn’t do that. I don’t even have the manual to my powers right now,” I said, as I stared at her ridiculous expression. Because whatever froze her weapon, it definitely wasn’t me. I could barely stop myself from tripping over my own chains of bad luck, much less freeze her enchanted whip mid-strike.Before anyone could blink, the atmosphere changed, and I felt it first, a wave of cold that prickled against my skin. Then came

Violet’s POV“Fighting against Abigail?!” My voice cracked as I squinted at the match board like it was lying to my face. I even rubbed my eyes just to be sure I wasn’t hallucinating but no, the name was there. Violet Black vs Abigail Storm, it was loud, bold and fatal. There were ten of us left and somehow, out of every possible human, beast, demon, or hybrid in this warped hellhole of a school, I got paired with the one person who thinks decapitating people is an acceptable warm-up.“Welp,” I muttered. “Guess I should start writing my will.”“That’s… that’s really bad luck,” Inara mumbled beside me, her expression twisted between horror and sympathy as she tugged on her sleeves. “Your powers are still unstable and that pendant around your neck keeps it locked away for the safety of the school, remember? But now it’s a disadvantage to you. She’s going to tear you apart if you can’t defend yourself.”My hand instinctively went to the pendant resting against my chest and I wanted to ya

  • The Savage Luna and Her Six Obsessive Monsters   Chapter 25: Summoned by Morgana

Violet’s POV“What the hell just happened?” I heard someone whisper from the crowd, voice low and shaky, like they weren’t even sure they said it aloud.I wanted to turn and glare, or even answer with my usual snark, but I couldn’t. My mind had gone blank... completely, horrifyingly, numb. My legs refused to move, my arms were stiff and sticky with blood that wasn’t mine, and my throat was raw, clogged with the taste of bile and iron. The smell of burnt flesh and exploded meat clung to me like a second skin. The scene in front of me, Zyron’s bits still twitching on the floor was so gruesome, so bizarre, it made my stomach churn again and again. I wanted to puke but I also couldn’t, I was stuck in that one second of what the actual fuck, unable to move forward or backward.“What kind of sorcery was that?” someone else muttered, louder now, half terrified and half in awe. “That’s the most painful death I’ve seen in years. Who the hell is she?”My fingers twitched. I could hear the whisp

Violet’s POVThe moment I heard the word “Begin!” I didn’t even have time to blink, one second, I was ready to charge in like a brave idiot but the next, my feet were off the floor.I was choking.A giant hand had wrapped around my neck and lifted me like I weighed nothing. My boots kicked uselessly in the air, my lungs burning as Zyron’s inhuman eyes bored into me with casual disgust.“You are so slow,” he said, voice deep and mocking, the sound echoing across the entire arena. “The weakest. I’ve never encountered an opponent this pathetic before.”Oh. Wonderful, at least I was breaking records. His grip tightened, and I could swear my spine made a sound no spine should ever make, my fingers clawed at his wrist, but it was like trying to move a damn mountain.“This damn animal,” I rasped out, half choking, half cursing, “can you at least...buy me dinner...first?”A ripple of shocked laughter spread through the crowd, quickly dying when Zyron glared at them.“Okay… Violet is gonna die

  • The Savage Luna and Her Six Obsessive Monsters   Chapter 23: To Make The Sect

Violet’s POV“Is that all you've got, big man?” Abigail yelled like she was in a stadium, not a death circle. Then she laughed, like laughed while dislocating the arm of a man built like he was forged in hell’s gym. He screamed loudly. But no one flinched because according to Inferno Sect’s delightful rules of initiation. You don’t leave the ring unless you pass out... or die.Five people had already been eliminated. Two knocked out cold.Three... yeah, three zipped up.We didn’t even know who was getting called next. Names were announced at random, like some twisted lottery where your prize was blood, pain, or your insides getting readjusted live.“That girl is a psycho,” I muttered, watching Abigail stomp her boot down to disable her opponent’s other arm while smiling like she just found a puppy. “Too wild and bloodthirsty.”Inara nodded solemnly beside me.“She scares me,” she whispered.“She scares me and I’m her emotional support mermaid-slash-scented pillow.”Abigail was now str
