☆Kate☆

Her source of investors was legitimate.

Her business practices were entirely legal.

Her family was nowhere to be found.

My attempt to publicly shame her on air spectacularly backfired and she got one million in return.

My effort to spread false rumors also failed miserably, resulting in the news channel involved facing a hefty one million dollar lawsuit.

To make matters worse, my husband seemed indifferent, and I had no clue where he was. When I called his office, they informed me he hadn’t shown up all day.

Where did I go wrong?

What more could I have done?

These two questions plagued my mind for the last three hours as I stood outside, waiting for Daniel.

How was I supposed to eradicate this problem when I had no support and my husband appeared to be uninterested while his mother was trying to insult all my efforts.

It was almost dark, and he was still not answering my calls.

I looked up at the sound of a car approaching. It was him. I quickly retreated insid

☆Kate☆I walked to him slowly, the atmosphere around me felt heavy as I shoved the phone into his pathetic face, forcing him to watch his own foolishness.“She played you like a fool!” I shouted, shoving the screen closer. “She was recording you, just waiting to expose your embarrassment to the world!” I spat, relishing the sight of his expression crumbling under the weight of his own stupidity.I was itching to slap him, but there was a more pressing issue at hand.I scanned the room, my eyes darting around. She was watching usIt made sense now, no wonder she had so easily torn apart everything we had built. She was watching us all this time.“You messed up!” I yelled at the ceiling. “I’m going to find those cameras, you worthless witch! I know it’s you!”I swiftly ended the video and dialed my mother. “Mom, she’s got cameras in here, she’s been spying on us,” my voice trembled.“You need to get out of the house, pack only the essentials, leave your phones behind, buy burne

☆Daniel☆"Since when did you become so relentless?" her message popped up, lifting the heavy burden that had been pressing on my chest for weeks. It felt like a long awaited prayer had finally been answered. I glanced around, half expecting an audience to witness my excitement, but I managed to keep my composure.A response.I needed to respond, but words eluded me.After a month of waiting, her reply had finally arrived. I knew she was finally going to drop the childish games."Hey, you finally came to your senses.." I started to type, but hesitated, second guessing myself. This was going to irritate her.I quickly erased the message. This was my one shot."Hi, how have you been? I've been worried about you," I typed instead and hit send. Then came the waiting, anxiety eating at me."Shouldn't I be the one asking you that?" she replied, leaping me off my seat in excitement. In that moment my heart didn’t just skip a beat, it did a full backflip. I was almost jumping u

☆Samira☆“Thank you, it’s a privilege to be here,” I greeted the tenth hand that reached out to me.“Thank you!”“Thank you , thank you very much!” another hand greeted me.I had no clue who these people were, all I knew was that they belonged to the “Linda Women for Change” organization, a non profit created and nurtured by Linda herself.I was done with Daniel, and the revenge had grown dull, so I found myself in Linda's bedroom, indulging in a bit of amusement while they were preoccupied with lawsuits and fighting to lift the shut down. Norwood Seaworld was finished. No sum of money could bring it back to life. Any sensible investor would steer clear of such a sinking ship.Wins upon wins. The icing of it all was that I was still alive to witness it all, and it was a sight to behold. If I were to meet my end today, I wouldn’t have any regrets…or would I?That thought made me pause as I greeted the last member and expressed my gratitude to them all.Truth be t

☆Kate☆As I slid into the driver’s seat, my mother following from behind Her voice cut through the air as she urged me to stop. But the anger brewing within me urged me forward, fixated on one singular thought,Samira needed to die. That wretched excuse for a person needed to die.I should have killed her four years ago. With a jolt, I started the engine.“Kate! Kate! You need to listen to me!” Mom yelled, her hand gripping the steering wheel like a lifeline.“Let go, Mom! Just let go!” I tried to push her off. She released her grip but retaliated with a sharp slap that stung like ice, snapping my senses back to reality.“No daughter of mine will rush into danger like a madwoman and fall into her enemy's trap!” she yelled in my face.I took a moment to steady my breath.“We’re heading to your brother's place to follow his instructions,” she declared, her voice rising as she ordered me into the passenger seat.Reluctantly, I moved, my lips trembling. I had a lot of words

☆Kate☆It was Samira. It had to be her. This was no mere twist of fate. The ship on fire, ghosts haunting the decks, and the crew refusing to return to their posts. It all pointed to her. That vengeful woman was behind it all, yet Daniel was blind, locked away in his office, yelling over the phone for over an hour.At last, I sensed a shift in how he was handling the stones Samira was throwing at us. Even his mother was on the phone, her voice raised, though I couldn't tell who she was yelling at. This was the action they needed to take, not just idly sitting by while that witch dismantled everything we had.I stood up. I was not going to sit idle either. I was off to meet my mother for coffee. Grabbing my keys, I drove to a beachside café.It was the perfect spot for private discussions, away from prying ears. Upon arrival, I spotted my mother tucked away in a corner, enjoying the ocean view.I approached her and took a seat, diving straight into the matter

☆Samira☆“Boss, Vin is awake,” one of the guards informed me.I ran to his room, pushing the door open without knocking and there he was, clad only in his boxer shorts, fixated on the bullet wound reflecting in the mirror. The doctor said he was fortunate, just a fraction of an inch further, and the bullet would have struck an artery, leaving me to plan his funeral.“If you had walked in a minute earlier, you’d have caught me naked,” he remarked.I crossed my arms, feeling a wave of defiance. The old Samira would have blushed and turned away, but not this version of me.I strode over to him and delivered a sharp slap to his shoulder. “Ouch!” He gasped, his expression changing into one of shock.“This revenge ends with my death and not yours. It could be today, tomorrow, or after I’ve dealt with those fools!” I declared, striding to the window. “Your job is to delay my death, not to throw your life away. So make this the last time you pull a stunt like that,” I wa
