“You're sure this is going to yield a good result, right? Else it'd be rather nice that I'm folded up in bed all cozy, when I finally die.” My dad teased and I turned to glare at him when he broke out in a laugh.

“Just joking, Ryn. You look way scary these days.” He muttered and a small smile spread across my face.

I swerved right, going past an incoming vehicle that would have slammed into me and let out a deep sigh.

Today? I was taking my parents to the hospital for a full medical check up, my mum included.

She wasn't diagnosed ill but I wasn't going to take any chances. After all, a woman her age drowning in sorrow of seeing her husband wither away and then depression? I hope it didn't stir up any bad health issues for her.

There was no harm in checking anyways.

I sighed as I pulled into the hospital's driveway and helped them out of the car, directly leading them into the hospital.

“I see what you're saying, Amor. They sure are advanced in technology.” Mum commented as
