Chapter Sixty-Seven

They were already squeezing themselves on the sofa while the kids were sitting on the stools available inside the hospital room.

It had already been thirty minutes since they arrived, but Ngel had yet to wake up. Celestine had also excused herself as she went out to get themselves cups of coffee.

“I really wanted to visit you, dear, even told Ngel about it, but he said that it’s best for me not to.” She let out a sigh before squeezing her hand. “It must’ve been hard for you. I know how hard you worked just to be an amazing artist, which you have always been already, but if things seem so hard for you, it’s never wrong to let go of something that has been doing you harm.”

She couldn’t help but smile when she heard that. She just nodded, and didn’t say anything as she remembered those times when Ngel’s mother had been treating her as if she was her own daughter.
