Chapter One

It took Tim Dalman years for her to be able to convince herself completely that people only lived once. That was the reason why her desire to achieve everything that she wanted to do and to be in life was fierce, especially when she knew that destiny had the ability to take everything that she had in one brush of the wind, and one drop of the rain. No one had the capability to know how destiny itself worked. So with the best of her abilities, she made sure to treat every second that was given to her important. Only eat pickles for a whole week, take a shower under the rain until it’s no longer raining, enroll to a girls’ town, sneak out of that girls’ town, skip school even when she was homeschooled, hangout with friends without telling anyone else, lead the rosary, sleep in the rosary period

Chapter Two

Tim went back to her apartment feeling as if she was out of her mind. Her knees felt like limp noodles, and she couldn’t even walk properly because of what happened back at the audition venue. She couldn’t even remember how she was able to get out of there. What she only knew was, and what was running in her mind was that why the scene on the script was the same scene that she experienced that night. Was it only an accident that her role was Anika? Was it only an accident that she had the same characteristics and personality with that character? Because if it were only coincidental, then she was lucky if that was the case. She immediately lied down on her bed after feeling a sharp pain on her head. She could still feel the dried tears on her cheeks because of how much she cried a while ago. She was utterly confused. I

Chapter Three

For so long, she had already known that destiny played like a jerk. Most of the time, it wouldn’t even go along according to a person’s wants, it would always do something that would force a person to take the path different from what that person initially wanted to take. Sometimes, it would be the opposite, which one could even consider lucky as destiny would be on that person’s side. Tim, all of her life, had always wanted to understand how destiny worked, but as funny as it was, it was also destiny itself that would dictate her fate, that she’d never ever understand how it’d work. It might be because the mind has limitations, and people could never unlock its full capabilities. A single person could never understand how the vast universe worked. It was also destiny that she thought first w

Chapter Four

Tim woke up next in the morning with a throbbing head. She didn't even notice at first that she was in an unfamiliar room because her mind was too preoccupied to even think about it. She jerked awake as she felt her guts wanting to spill out. Her mind was hazy, as if there was some sort of fog that was making her unable to think clearly as she searched for the bathroom. Luckily, the first door that she turned the knob happened to be the bathroom that her mind was chanting for over and over again.Bathroom!Bathroom! She was quick to run towards the anticipating sink before spilling her guts out. The sound of her vomiting was echoing throughout the walls of the bathroom as if there was some sort of a crow ritual that was going on, but right at that very moment

Chapter Five

"Have you lost your mind?" Harper scolded over the phone the moment she finally answered the call. She was already walking towards her apartment, feeling different kinds of emotions inside her chest. It wasn't the first time that she was scolded by Harper who was truly a control freak, especially when she knew that she was right. But the girl scolding her rarely ever happened because Tim was known to be someone who never really made such reckless decisions, especially those that she hadn't really thought about in a thorough manner; especially those that could potentially harm her. What she did was to keep quiet because even Tim knew that what she did was reckless, and there was no legitimate excuse that she could tell her why she did that, and why she lied to her. What would she tell her? She was hurt because her ex had

Chapter Six

Tim’s heart was pounding really hard as she stared at the text message that she just got from Harper, remembering that the girl said that Raphael wanted to talk to her. There was something in her chest that was making her think about the reason why the guy wanted to talk to her. Did he suddenly just want to have a reunion after he told her before that he no longer wanted to see her face ever again. He even said that he was disgusted with her. Why did he want to see and to talk to her? Why was he doing all those things? Did he want to slap her face that she owed him something? That he was the reason why she landed on the role? That he was the reason for her possible break, the break that she had been waiting for? Now that she thought about it, was the guy there when she auditioned? Was he also there when she cried because of the script that he had written? Just the thought of him being there left a bitter tas

Chapter Seven

“You’re still an early bird even until now.” The moment Timothee heard that familiar voice that she hadn’t heard for years, she immediately felt her heart racing fast and hard against her chest as if it was wanting to get out, and to punch the guy who just talked. She gathered a deep breath, never turning her head as she could feel the presence of the guy from behind, walking towards her direction. The words that he said echoed in her mind, and right at that very moment, she regretted the fact that she was there first. It was like her ego had been hurt. He was wearing a white polo shirt that Tim remembered to be his favorite top. He liked it because it was clean, and even when it was literally just a simple polo shirt, it made him look like someone credible. He was different from what she imagined him to be. Well, it was more like he was different from the Raphael that she once k

Chapter Eight

Timothee could feel an intense feeling of determination inside her chest as she read the script that was given to her. Days had passed where she spent all of her time just inside her apartment, reading the script. She had also memorized her first lines because she was determined not to mess up, she was determined to shine even when she wasn’t the main character. She had waited for so long just to land on a big project, and now that she was given the chance to do so, she wanted to do everything that she could do in her power. There was no turning back now, although she never really thought of turning back in the first place, even when that guy seemed to be wanting to be on her way. She hated how she would remember him from the script that was given, especially to the part where the story of her character and his was already being narrated.

Chapter Nine

In the entirety of their relationship, never did Tim ever meet Raphael’s parents, although she had already seen them because his parents would often go to different school events, especially card giving and family day events in their school way back in high school as they still weren’t that busy during that time. And she thought that Raphael was probably the favorite child as well so they were present whenever their presence was needed. That was something that she couldn’t even relate to. She could even remember how intimidating his mom was when she first saw her. She was tall which was no longer a surprise because Raphael was tall as well. She was only wearing simple but elegant clothes that time, and her aura spoke about the lifestyle that she was living. She didn’t even have to say anything for people to know that she was rich. Not to mention that the Liu clan was a clan of politic

Chapter Ten

On the way to the set, Tim thought of different motivational quotes inside her head in an attempt to calm the hard thudding of her heart against her chest. She was really nervous. She couldn’t help but wonder whether her companions in that series were also nervous about it. After all, it was a project that the netizens were also excited about. Ngel, who was driving, quickly patted her shoulder while his eyes were still on the road. Maybe her anxiety was really showing, but even when she was an actress who already had several experiences as well, she couldn’t hide her nervousness. Nor was she even thinking that she needed to pretend around the guy. He knew her too well. “It would be alright,” he said, assuring her. “No joke, you’re good at wha
