A SOFT LIGHT entered through the floor-to-ceiling glass wall.

Her face felt warm. Little by little her heavy eyelids fluttered, but before she could open them, the scent of roses and something salty hit her nose. So different from the antiseptic scent she remembered.

Confusion clouded her mind. Nasaan siya?

The bed beneath her was so soft compared to the hospital bed. Soft as a cloud.

Suddenly a dozen yellow roses flashed in her eyes. Her gaze drifted, following the long stems held by a familiar hand. Sebastian!

Her breath caught. The memory jolted her awake. The sterile white room. The doctor’s calm, apologetic voice. The needle. Sebastian’s firm hand on her arm.

Right. He had sedated her. Again!

Her brows drew together. She pushed herself up on an elbow. “N-Nasaan tayo?” Her voice was raspy.

Ngumiti ng malumanay si Sebastian. L

A SCAR THAT’S UGLIER . . .A scar that’s hidden from the eyes . . . Pero bakit pakiramdam niya, there is something more to it? Something deeper? Something hidden? A secret? She clearly saw the pain in him when he spoke about the hidden scars . . .Nakaupo siya sa four-seater couch, tucked into the far corner, while Sebastian was sitting at the same couch in front of his laptop that was perched on the low table.Despite the short-sleeve Japanese crane shirt and linen beach pants he’s wearing, his aura is completely businessman— a no-nonsense businessman. Suddenly Sebastian stops speaking with the Love Dior executives. He turned his head to look at her. He thought she was getting bored waiting for him. Since he doesn’t allow her to

SOFT MORNING SUNSHINE WARMED THE ROOM. A sweet floral scent, light and fresh, hung in the air. But unlike yesterday, this time iba’t iba ang kulay ng mga rosas. “Good morning, Baby!” He had a soft and warm smile like the morning sunshine that entered the villa through the glass wall. So, Sebastian is indeed serious. He truly intended to coax her. “Take your time standing up. Drink your hot chocolate and wash your face before going down,” he said, leaning down and pecking her forehead. “Maglilinis at magluluto muna ang hot, handsome, and lovable husband mo.” “What?” Umugong ang tila kinikiliting tawa niya. “What? Am I not hot, han

SEBASTIAN IS CRYING? It was already late in the morning, and as if on cue, her stomach rumbled. He’s crying? Because of what she said? That first love can die? Is it because he’s afraid of death? Well, everyone is. Isa pa, inisip ba nitong hahayaan niya talaga itong mamatay? Hell, asawa niya kaya to! Hmph! Or perhaps . . . Perhaps he thought her love for him was the one who would die? That she’ll fall out of love with him? “Hahaha!” Kumawala ang tawa niya tapos pinagalitan ang sarili. So presumptuous of you, Alexa! That’s impossible; not even once did he tell her he loves her. He never told her his real thoughts and feelings. No, he doesn't love her. Wake up, Alexa. You were in an arranged marriage and . . . In this marriage yo

“SPECIFICALLY . . . A BOX JELLYFISH.” Sebastian stood frozen. The flippers of Alexa he had been holding since earlier fell to the white sand. His hands flew to his hips, disbelief coursing through him. “Y-You want me to catch a jellyfish?” His voice cracked, a strangled sound. “S-Specifically a box jellyfish?” Nanlaki ang chinito niyang mga mata. “Seryoso, Alexa? Gusto mo ba kong patayin?!” He leaned in, his voice dropping to a low growl. “O siguro gusto mo talaga akong mamatay, ano? Gano’n ba? Saglit siyang natigilan at nag-isip. “Who said I’m going to eat it?” Alexa’s voice was light and dismissive.

SEBASTIAN STEPPED OUT of his luxury van; the city air is thick and cold. It was before midnight. His gaze particularly lingered at one room at the top floor. He breathes hard before moving his gaze to the dark and boundless clouds. There are a lot of stars tonight and the little moon is shining so bright.“I guess my little moon is already in dreamland,” he muttered under his breath.Four days. It’s been four days since he’d last seen her. Four days of drowning himself in work and solitude. These days if he’s not at the police headquarters, he’s inside the four corners of the company Love Dior. He misses Alexa. He misses her so much . . .In the past four days he didn’t come nor call because he was so scared of what she’s going to say.
