CHAPTER 23

Margaux and Declan were supposed to have lunch together today, but when Phoebe arrived at the clinic, Margaux seemed to have vanished from the man's mind, and they abruptly left her when Margaux returned to refill a drink after recovering.

Mera is Phoebe's companion who came to the ranch, and Lucy and Kevin are the only extras, along with Mang Lando, who is now Margaux's lunch companion.

Some of Declan's ranch staff also looked at the table where they were and eventually joined them so that they could eat there, as well as the allusion to her, but Margaux only reciprocated with a polite nod or even gestured a friendly smile at them.

Margaux was in the middle of eating when she noticed in the distance the receding footsteps of Declan's horse, Timmy, who was already riding there, and Phoebe in front of him who was anchored, happy, and smiling all at the same time while looking each other both.
