Andrew went to the dining hall the next morning to tell everyone about Nyx and Hermes. When he arrived, the others were already there. Polly and Trisha were extra careful about who approached Selena, even eyeing him suspiciously. "Good morning. I have some reinforcements coming to help us. I want to warn you because they're probably not exactly what you would expect as far as help," Andrew explained. "Okay, who are they?" Gunnar asked. He was nervous about anyone new after what happened to Bianca and Alani. "Nyx is the goddess of night. She's from the underworld. Hermes is the herald of the gods and travels between all realms. They're able to come to Earth, unlike those from the realm Selena and I come from. We need the power of the gods to fight the two goddesses. Nyx watched Daphne and Hermes with envy as they sat outside. Was she going to be the only one without a mate? She wouldn't have a problem with a shifter running to her and claiming she was his. Eros sat at his desk feeling lost. He didn't like knowing Selena was somewhere he couldn't protect her, and Psyche's evil sisters were trying to kill her. He had to do something to help her. Nyx flew out of the room and shut the door. Selena, Polly, and Trisha looked at her in concern. She had seen some terrible things, but the sight of a torso with missing limbs and head shook her. Lachlan walked up to the palace gates with uncertainty. Would they even want him there? It was early morning, and the sun was just beginning to rise.
