Nyx watched Daphne and Hermes with envy as they sat outside. Was she going to be the only one without a mate? She wouldn't have a problem with a shifter running to her and claiming she was his. Eros sat at his desk feeling lost. He didn't like knowing Selena was somewhere he couldn't protect her, and Psyche's evil sisters were trying to kill her. He had to do something to help her. Nyx flew out of the room and shut the door. Selena, Polly, and Trisha looked at her in concern. She had seen some terrible things, but the sight of a torso with missing limbs and head shook her. Lachlan walked up to the palace gates with uncertainty. Would they even want him there? It was early morning, and the sun was just beginning to rise. Lachlan was a rogue wolf who was once a great warrior. He came from a pack of warriors. While he was away helping another pack his pack was attacked. When he returned home everyone had been killed.
