I look at the tool I picked as I spoke. The tool, a thumbscrew, is one of my favorite torture devices that I use on those that fall victim to my torture.

The device has two flat metal pieces that my victims' thumbs are placed, connected by one or more screws.

The metal bars have ridges, either smooth bumps or sharp spikes, that would bore into their thumbs, trapping them in the metal mechanism thereby crushing their bones.

It's a small, torturous device that inflicts extreme pain without much effort.

Too small that they tend to underestimate it at first sight without experiencing what it is capable of at first. 

But once used on them, they became frightful of it and any preceding devices I use next because the thumbscrew put them on alert that if the first instrument on them could be this deadly,
