Chapter 60

(Abbi's POV)

Ada was dead.

When Eleanor and I were discharged from the hospital in the morning, we saw the nurse calling Flora.

For a moment, I felt very guilty. I felt like I had killed someone.

But Ada was a cancer patient, after all. She would die in the hospital sooner or later. What I did, perhaps, was just to end her pain earlier.

That excuse made me feel much better. But I didn't expect that Flora would start to fight back just two hours later.

Cody even officially informed Eleanor of the divorce. She was so angry that she almost demolished the whole sanatorium.

After receiving the news, I hurried to ask Leo to leave. "I'm sorry, Leo. Something happened to Eleanor. I want to see it."

"What happened to her again?" Leo asked me back.

But I didn't want him to know that Ada was dead and Flora wanted to fight back. I only said vaguely, "I don't know for the time being. I won't know why until I get there."
