“Damn it!” I pushed everything I could lay my hands on to the ground. “Damn it!” I had thrown and broken so many things, but nothing had been able to reduce my anger.

An opportunity I had been waiting so long for, finally came, only for it to slip through my fingers like sand. To say I was disappointed was an understatement.

Nothing had gone as I planned, even though I had been meticulous and made sure to have a second option for every plan that cane to mind.

But all that didn't hurt as much as Ashley's betrayal. I would never forget how she looked at me with so much hatred. And the words she'd spat to my face. Things had indeed been rough between us, but I genuinely believed she'd have understood why I did all those things.

Not only had she essentially spat on my face by getting comfortable with those murderers, she had proceeded to actually mate with that beast. Their Lycan King. My heart was torn between anger and betrayal.
