Chapter 47: Calling the police

Isabella, unfazed, left the room and headed downstairs, with everyone following in confusion. As they reached the living room, Kathy grabbed Isabella's wrist.

"Isabella, what are you doing? You can't just leave after doing something wrong..."

Isabella forcefully shook off Kathy's hand and picked up the landline phone on the table, dialing a number. "Hello, officer. I want to report a crime."

"Someone is accusing me of stealing, and the address is..." Before she could finish her sentence, Kathy snatched the phone away.

"Isabella, what are you doing? Who accused you? The money was found in your pillow, and you still deny it."

Julia glanced at Isabella and said, "Exactly! It's not a big deal. We still have to visit the landmarks! We don't have time to waste here. Just apologize to Kathy, and we can move on."

Isabella narrowed her eyes slightly and looked at the two of them harmonizing with each other. A hint of coldness flashed in her eyes.
