I want him

I moaned into his mouth.

I wasted no time digging my hands into his hair pulling him closer. This kiss was fierce, wild, and angry.

My knees almost buckled when he smoothly slid his tongue into my mouth. I hungrily and almost desperately sucked on it.

His hands slowly moved to my ass and he squeezed it lightly. I moaned again.

We were breathing hard, tangled together in heat and tension as he pulled me even closer.

I wanted more. I wanted him.

Then he pulled away abruptly. I slowly opened my eyes, still breathless. I almost groaned at the sudden loss of his lips on mine.

“We can’t do this,” he said, amidst pants as he turned his back to me.

I was confused. “B-but why?” I asked.

“Because we are nothing. And this is wrong” he ran his hand along his head in frustration.

“We are not ‘nothing’ Aaron. We are husband and wife” I said as I stepped closer to him.

He took a step backwards immediately and I froze when his cold emotionless expression returned.

“We are nothing. We are only husband

  • The Stranger I Met On The Altar   Meeting Taylor’s new man

I arrived at the restaurant earlier than Taylor and her new man. Being early wasn't really my strong suit but I guess today was an exception. They eventually arrived, hand in hand, with Taylor beaming with smiles.I didn't recognize him because the first time I had seen him, where he and Taylor had actually met, was at the club and it was dimly lit, coupled with the fact that I was tipsy as well.He was eh… kinda a mature man, seems to be in his mid or late thirties, if I were to guess, I'd say late thirties. Hell, he might even be 40.Not bad looking, but not the best looking guy I've seen Taylor with.“Hey Beth,” Taylor said cheerfully.I stood up and kissed both her cheeks. “My love, you look so beautiful,” I said.“Thank you,” she turned to her man. “Sebastian, meet Elizabeth, the bestest friend in the world, and my sister from another mother,” she looked at me endearingly.“Beth, meet Sebastian, the absolute love of my life”He looked at me with a smile as he stretched his hand t

  • The Stranger I Met On The Altar   What's in his eyes?

AARON’S POV“I don't understand why you're so pissed dude” Ryan said as we both walked into my room.“Go back to your room” I snapped. But it didn't faze him.“Wait, you're pissed I was talking to your wife? It was a harmless conversation, dude. Common!”I thought of how freely Elizabeth laughed and how she looked deeply interested in whatever stupid conversation they were having. Dare I say she even looked a bit sad when I came to interrupt them.“You did not come here for that. You don't even know her. You spent hours talking God knows what with her. And you know I have some business to discuss with you” I threw at Ryan.“You have business to talk to me about? I wasn't even aware…”“Save it,” I said through gritted teeth. “Get out of my room”“Shut up dude,” he said sitting on an armchair. “For someone who acts as tough as you do, you can be a bit immature at times”I glared at him.“So.. What business do you have to discuss with me?” he asked.“The only business I'm concerned with

  • The Stranger I Met On The Altar   Finally a bubbly personality

Aaron left in annoyance, while Ryan and I kept conversing. He was a breath of fresh air and i couldn't believe just how much we could talk and laugh like I've known him for a while.“So you're spending the night yeah?” I asked him.“Yeah, and i just might be spending a couple of days too. Till the witch in my house leaves. I trust you to be a good host, lil mama?” “Well, I'm not the madam of the house, Vivienne is. But I will make sure you're very comfortable and well taken care of”He let out a snort. “Vivienne madam of the house my foot. You're the one who lives here, the wife. No one is taking your spot”I laughed. “I take it you don't really like her”“Never did. Don't know what my boy Aaron sees in her. But I'm sure with time, he will retrace his steps and observe what's really in front of him” he said.“What's in front of him?”“You of course”I felt heat flaming my cheeks. “Me? Do you.. Do you think he will ever.. You know.. Notice me?”“Lil mama, have you seen YOU? It will ta

  • The Stranger I Met On The Altar   Hint of jealousy

AARON’S POV.“So how do you feel about Vivienne not being pregnant?” Ryan asked. We were meeting up for drinks after work.I just shrugged. “I feel… kinda relieved?”He narrowed his eyes at me. “When will you admit to yourself that you don't love that baby anymore?”“I love Vivienne,” I said, even though it sounded like I was trying to convince myself instead. He scoffed. “Yeah right, continue telling yourself that” he sipped on his drink. “So what about your hot wife? How is it going? I miss her you know” he winked.“You miss her? You've only seen her once” I said. I knew he was trying to get a reaction from me. Silly boy.“Well, I would like to see her again. I have this feeling that she would be an interesting person”“She is interesting,” I replied without thinking.“You see? I'm a good judge of character. When are you going to invite me over? You don't necessarily have to be with us. Intact I will appreciate it if you would give us some privacy”I gave him a sharp look and he lau

  • The Stranger I Met On The Altar   Corporate sabotage

AARON’S POVI knew very well what my dad was capable of. And I did not doubt in my mind that he was behind Vivienne’s miscarriage. He didn't tell me about meeting with Vivienne and neither did she, hence why I could not clock this.I wondered why my dad would go to such great lengths to ensure that I married into the Knight family. Did he want their company so badly?I drove Vivienne to the hospital to get a pregnancy test done, and when the results came back negative, I couldn't help but feel relief. She looked sad and disappointed almost as if she badly wanted the baby.“I really hoped… i wished… I wanted this pregnancy,” she said, her voice cloaked with sadness. “I thought this would bring us back on track”I reached for her hand and squeezed it. “We are on track. And nothing has changed between us Vivienne. We are okay”She looked at me with tear-filled eyes. “I can't lose you, Aaron. I will not be able to live”I swallowed. It wasn't the first time she was saying that and it was

  • The Stranger I Met On The Altar   No ordinary miscarriage

AARON’S POV.“Baby? What baby?” Elizabeth asked, looking perplexed.I clenched my fists and secretly gritted my teeth. After I had gotten the text from Vivienne last night, I had immediately called her. And she said she was late and she was having weird symptoms and feels it might be a baby.I had stilled. For some reason, I wasn't as excited as I was when she had gotten pregnant the first time. I felt… nothing. And secretly I hoped and prayed she wasn't pregnant.I didn't expect her to stroll in here so early in the morning. She had even been the one to wake me up.“Well well, if you must know, Aaron and I are having a baby,” Vivienne said.I glared at her. It wasn't confirmed yet. She hadn't even gotten a test so what was she trying to pull?Elizabeth’s mouth was literally hanging open and when she looked at me, I quickly diverted my gaze. I didn't want to see what was in her eyes, be it disappointment, anger, or worse indifference.“Vivienne,” I said in warning.“Uhm.. Wow.. Okay
