Chapter 39

“Tony, watch out!” Leta screamed scared to death when she saw a man behind Tony with a gun pointed at the back of his head. She did not have a clean shot to take him out and the only thing she could do is warn him. Her heart was in her throat, and she forgot how to breathe as the man smirked before pulling the trigger. Tony turned when he heard Leta calling, and the bullet hit him on the shoulder very close to his neck.

The bullet sent him to the ground with Leta screaming his name as he falls, Fingers shot the man right between his eyes as soon as he had a clear shot wiping the smirk off his face. Leta ran to Tony who was groaning in pain on the floor holding his neck. “Are you alright?” she asked with a trembling voice, Tony only nodded and tried to get up. She helped him up, and he checked his gun. “No, we are leaving this place, you are wounded and need medical care.” Tony looked at her and gave her a small smile.

“We are n
