Darwin

Beatrice exited the car and walked towards the man leaning towards the car. A smirk formed on Beatrice's lips as she saw his gaze on her.

"Waiting for too long?" Beatrice asks, the man stands up and grabs her waist, and kisses her lips gently as she's in front of him.

"Why did you take so long?" 

"Well, I negotiate with Nate," Beatrice answered, kissing his lips again. This time the kiss was passionate. 

"Remember the plan I said to you yesterday?" Beatrice asked.

"Yes, and what's the news?"

"Well, I agree with his proposal to get married." Beatrice took a cigarette from his pocket and lit it.

"That's nice news, my pack is ready to destroy the wedding," Darwin said sarcastically. Beatrice laughed and leaned on the car, and looked at Darwin.

"If you did that, then my plan will be ruined, if my plan gets ruined, I will be mad at you." She said, Darwin laughed and grabbed Beatrice's waist and kissed her forehead.

"Make sure that nothing will happen between you and Nate," Darwin said.

"Of course, you know what I need, you know that all I want is to avenge my sister for what he did," Beatrice's heart was full of anger for Nate, all she wants is to get revenge and kill Nate. Her mind was full of negativity act for Nate. Killing him will satisfy her.

"And you know that the one I love is you." She added, Darwin smiled and kissed her lips. She and Darwin have been in a relationship since Beatrice was 15. They're 8 years together now. Her love for Darwin is undying, they're both loyal to each other. Darwin is the Alpha of the Dangeoun clan, and Beatrice is one of the clan members. He has a lot of illegal activities and businesses, such as drugs, possession of firearms, and illegal gambling. He owns many underworld businesses and even one of the most dangerous Alpha in town. 

Beatrice learned so many things from him, she learned how to sell and use drugs, how to do illegal businesses, was involved in clan wars at the age of 17, and even killed people. In short, when she was 15, her life became miserable because of Darwin. She is walking on the wrong path because of him. And Margarett knows about this, she dislikes Darwin as Beatrice's boyfriend because she knows it's illegal business. From the very first place, she already talked to Beatrice about Darwin's business and even gave her lessons, but Beatrice still didn't listen to her and even chose to be with Darwin. 

Her loyalty is with Darwin and with the Dangeoun Clan. The clan treats her like a family, and she finds the love of the family she's looking for in the clan. While Darwin treats her like a Harley Quinn. 

She sees he's red flags but still chooses her over her family, over her sister Margarett.

"So, where and when is the wedding? " Darwin asked. They're in front of a cliff in Bantract City, it's their favorite spot, they killed so many people in this place.

"Next week, in Manwar beach. " She answered and looked at the sky. It was dark, but because of the stars, the sky looked amazing.

"After I kill Nate, let's get married," Beatrice said, Darwin laughed, so she looked at him. For Beatrice, Darwin is the one. She saw Darwin as her future husband and the father of her future child. But for Darwin, getting married is a joke. She loves Beatrice but not that much, yes, he is loyal to her, but for Darwin, money is everything, power is everything, and getting married is a joke.

"Don't you want to be my husband?" Beatrice asked him, Darwin grabbed her left hand and looked into her eyes. 

"I do want to be your husband," Darwin answered. "But you know I am more focused on my businesses, in my power, in my title. Beatrice, you know that getting married is a joke." Darwin explained, Beatrice suddenly stopped and smiled bitterly. 

"Have you seen other couples nowadays? They got married, but what happened next? They fight, they get divorced." Beatrice is listening to a bitter man who doesn't like to get married.

"Look, Beatrice, getting married is--"

"Stop." Beatrice cut him off, threw the cigarette she was holding, and turned her back to him. 

"Where are you going?" Darwin asked, watching her walk away.

"Somewhere you can't find," Beatrice said coldly and started her car engine. Before she left, she looked at Darwin again.

"After I kill Nate, please set me free." That is her last word before she drove away.

While driving, Beatrice's mind is occupied, she can't think straight, and she is hurt by what Darwin said earlier. It's her dream to get married, to be his wife and soon to be a mother of his child, but it looks like Darwin is not interested in building a future with her together.

She has known Darwin for a long time and understands that Darwin's priority is power, fame, and money. But still, she is hoping that one day Darwin will propose to her and ask her if she wants to marry him.

Her tears suddenly fall as she drove to somewhere, she can't think where she is going. 

While driving, she suddenly remembers what Margarett told her.

*Beatrice, I want to see you happily living with your mate in the future.*

*Getting married to your mate is the happiest event in were-woman's life.* 

*I wish I could see the ceremony of your marriage, Beatrice.* 

Beatrice wiped her tears as she remembered Margaretts words.

She suddenly stops the car in the middle of the highway and calms herself down, in her mind, she is now lonely, no one would listen to her rants, and no one would comfort her.

Her anger toward Nate suddenly sinks into her mind. *This is all Nate's fault, he is the reason why no one will listen to me now. He killed the one and only woman who's listening to my rant.*

Her tears keep flowing, the sadness in her can't be hidden. 

"I wish... Margarett was here..." She whispered as her tears fell down.
