That Man Jordan

When Alina reach the office, she was met by a barrage of inquiry and foul words by her collegues. Miss Elaine approached her and ask.

"Where have you been Ina? You know we are short staffed, that is why I absorbed you here even though I know that you don't like to be assigned here."

"I'm sorry Miss Elaine, I was caught up." She said unable to explain the real reason why she was late getting back.

"You're sweating, and pale Is there something wrong? Do you want to take the day off?"Worriedly  she said taking in Alina's unusual palor.

"No, I'll be fine, I just need a while to pull myself together."

"Really Alina? I was worried and called  Miss Gomez but she said you just left.  That was two hours ago. Are  you sure your'e fine."

"Yes, thanks Miss Elaine."  Alina thought 'Wow two hours? she spend two hours with that fiasco  and that man Jordan?' 

"What are friends for Ina, I told you if its only the two of us without the supervisors call me Elie, I do miss the way you used to call me." They both giggled.

Elaine used to be Alina's bestfriend and roommate,  she introduce her to the company, and work together in the event cordinators team, before  she  was promoted and transfered to the wedding planner department. Then later get married.

"Yes Elie!" 

"That's good now let's get back to work. stay with me so that you won't be exploited ."  

Alina started to be productive  after she had put her experiences for the day on hold. As the day come to an end she  was eager to go back to her post as event coordinator assistant. She won't have to put up to some of those difficult and impossible request of some of those haughty and snobbish client.

On the other hand, that man Jordan still pissed of with the reaction he gets from Alina when she ran off after he kissed her to seal their marriage vows. Of course he cannot blame the girl, his men told him how they coerced and tricked the girl into marrying him, because the original bride to be,  refused the last minute when she learned that she is marrying a crippled man and elope instead with her boyfriend.

Another one thing is they are running out of time to seal the deal with the offshore company that will make JS unlimited as one of the leading company in the country with alliances abroad.

Jordan's men was unable to find Alina for reasons that she is not connected to the boutique where the gown was purchase and two Elaine denied that Alina was the one in-  charge of the wedding that was held in St. Jude's Cathedral when Jordan's man came to inquire. It wasn't a a lie though. The truth is Alina just made a favor to dropped the parcel wherein turn she was the one who wore it. She is not also the one assign to the boutique but Joan. 

"Sorry Boss we cannot tract the woman seems she was just erased from the face of the earth!" 

" For heaven's sake! How am I to present my wife to my partners if that woman is missing!"  The huge man who wheeled him said. " It 's okay boss it is arrange I already  said that your wife got sick and has an alergies that she cannot be expose to the public." the man said. 

"Good how about my grandfather did you send him a copy of the videos and pictures."

"Yes boss. The  pictures and videos are edited removing the end part where she ran away, it  can prove that you are really married, It was a good thing that she is also beautiful and attractive."The man grin.

"Yes Hugh, if there's any consolation, she is really attractive and a little dumb to be succumb like that.  I just wish that she will agree to be married to me for a year in the least. I hope she won't sue us though." He said pensively.

" I don't think she will,  if we will just appeal to her good nature." Hugh said.

"How do you know she have a good nature?" Jordan  raise his eyebrows.

"I just feel it."

" Okay you're the best judge of character. I trust in your judgement. Just tell the men, I want her to be here when I return."    

"Yes Boss!"

Alina was starting to be confident once more after a week of the incident but she still a little bit worried three days after the wedding it seems she felt that someone was following her every move, after a while she got used to it probably the thought that she is married to an unknown man gives her the creeps. But she was thinking  that maybe it was really a dress rehearsal and that the groom just carried away when he grab and kissed her.

Now as she was thinking about it, she had to admit that he is a good kisser, Alina was sure, she may  have no experience much on  boy-girl relationship, it doesn't stopped her from experimenting even though that is just as far as she can go.

"Hey, Ina what's up? would you happened to be free Saturday night?" Joey who is in her team asked her.

"Why, something coming up?" she ask aware that he was hinting in pursuing her to which she always find reasons to evade his confessions.

"Haven't you heard that the group decided to celebrate come Saturday night for a succesful campaign?"

"Oh! that,  of course I heard it  Why?" 

"Are you comiing?"

"Yes I'm coming with Joan, You remember her? the one who stand in for me the last time I was late I invited her since she already knows some of the boys".   

" Okay see you there." and he went on his way. Alina wasn't choosy in making friends .But Joey got a refutation of running a mile when he was given an inch. and right now she doesn't want complications. She was also excited come Satrday night  to be with her friends it is different when you meet them at work compare to when they are having a good time and sharing anecdotes outside the working atmostphere. If only she knew what is in store for her come Saturday night.
