Chapter 8: Woke up in the devil's arm

The lycan didn’t like the way his mate was shaking and so to calm her down, he went on all fours for her; something he had never done before for anyone.

After all, he was the supreme alpha and there was no one he would bow for; no one but his mate.

He then slowly lowered his head and put it on his mate's lap.

The spark that he felt through his entire body, made him growl satisfactorily and this helped him calm down as his red eyes gradually changed back to a dark color.

“Am I looking at what I’m looking at?” Lance asked Adrian as he was unable to believe that his Alpha actually submitted to someone, especially a human who was weak.

“She is his mate,” Adrian said as he could tell what was running through Lance's mind.

“I know but still, Arthur didn’t look like someone who would do such for anyone, even his mate,” Lance said.

“Well, it looks like the mate bond is indeed powerful, even more powerful than our Alpha and his pride,” Adrian concluded as he watched the two.
